This topic must definitely have been done before, so sorry in advance... :-X

But mines High. Such a simple understated evocation of nature, I loves it I does!

Perfectly fits the music inside - seriously this may be the greatest NMA album for me.

Oh and not just album covers, 12" etc too...

BDAW and BWAB.  Joolz has really outdone herself with that.

Agreed great covers both, I prefer Wine and Blood though.

Oh, so much to choose from!

The POISON STREET design is a personal favourite.

Also love THE GHOST OF CAIN album cover... I once saw someone with a leather jacket with that EXACT same design on the back.. don't suppose that was anyone who reads this Forum?  If so, can I buy it off you?  I'm broke but I'm happy to sell a kidney or something...   :D

Also fond of the GET ME OUT 12-inch cover... those eyes...  :o

Agreeing with A, the BDAW / BWAB artwork is just sensational...

Bonus points for the PURITY single...

But if I had to pick one design, it would be the IMPURITY album cover... if anyone of you remember my usual silly posts, that was my favourite album and my introduction to the NMA live scene so it's just so special to me...

There was some talk about people wanting reprints of old T-shirts (or even designs that never wound up on a T shirt...) I can't wait to hear what other folks like... c'mon, NMA inner circle... please????

Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

Ray, I've seen an exact copy about the Ghost of Cain jacket too. I'm not sure but I think it was a thing back in the days among some fans; a "fashion" or a way to show dedication to the band by wearing it.

At least I know a British guy called Gary, living nowadays in Finland who has an exact copy about it. He travels a lot and last time I saw him at the Forum, Kentish Town.

My fave is the "black dogs" design from BDAW.
Also, the classic stencil logo from White Coats and the eagle shirt logo.

Yes, a lot to choose
this spring 5 of the cover prints (shop) are framed in my livingroom:
3 of BBAW, Dawn and Lost Songs  :)
And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me
Perhaps - I am the master of nothing?

this is not a cover, but plainly a bad taken photograph. a high key photo with probably the camera turned on automatic and reflections of the flashlight. the composition of the elements is poorly. it shows what you were trying to, but failed miserably doing so. since you are such an artist it may have only taken you,i guess, about 5h to take this picture?
ever tried. ever failed. no matter.

Come on, man, there is nothing at all wrong with my picture above.

-- The guitar is beautifully photographed. The color pops, the flash of light on it makes the guitar sparkle, the angle I placed the guitar on shows off the beautiful lines of the guitar.

-- The background of the assorted NMA albums/CDs/singles is well laid out and tastefully done. The montage encompasses the band's entire career -- from "Vengeance" to "Dog and Wolf." But the real gem in the photograph is the placement of the "White Coats" EP. Top left corner of the photo and we get the NEW MODEL ARMY logo in all its glory. That's called excellent composition.

-- The lettering in the photo is simply an Army stencil that apes what the band uses, but mine somehow looks better.

I totally agree. Definitely the two best NMA album covers. Third I'd have to go with "Carnival."

- the foto is flat. there is no depht in it. the colours don't shine. you can see that at tlohc and bdaw. due to overexposion they look milky. you should have used a filter for the flashlight. the placement of the guitar is not in the middle, is not after the golden rule, it is not good composed. the impurity cover covers justins image from beneath. it looks like an accident.

- the montage of the covers shows what was tried to be done, but feels very selective due to place restrictments. and this kind of montage is so out and lame. if there really were all of the covers and works and published titles somewhere in the frame, and you would have climbed up a high ladder to get them all in the frame, maybe this would have been worth it and worked somehow. and you could listen to high from that point at the ladder and ask yourself is it all necessary to do what i'm doing to gain attention.

- the subtext of the picture, though it's not a subtext but a screaming statement of egoism of yourself. to place your guitar on top of new model army covers, is the message. you place yourself above, you see yourself more important.

this could be the work of a 10 year old fanboy, who wants to show off, to show his collection, but is is just not a good cover.

That's it in a nutshell, especially the never-ending ego.

For me, it's still Impurity after all these years. A beauty it is.

I think you have summed up there what a lot of us are thinking cthulhu.

Space's "entry" is not valid as it is not art from a  cover its just, Space.

My favourite cover art, the eternal Knot from the cover of Vagabonds. Kind of looks simple, but at the same time, you would need to be an artist to try and draw it. I did a trace of it once and it took me a couple of hours.
