While Shush wrote about Manchester week ago by saying: "Two weeks, Rusco".

I got this to my mind.

I laughed out loud when a mate at my work told last week about a gift he bought to their little kid:

It was some talking animal or a game that asks for attention by making noises. Before Christmas they hid the toy inside a warehouse but they woke up at midnight due to some sheep voices. Ok, then he threw it to bathroom that they could continue sleeping. But the toy kept up making voices and then he threw it to car's back box. When he drove to work the toy reacted with all the "bumps" and staggering. Neighbours could hear all the different cow voices and chickens. ;D

Thanks Rusco. Of coarse, its a line from "No mans land" quite a powerful line really. To me it about being in poverty on the dole in the 1980's. Having enough money to stay alive but not really live.

As for me now, its about wanting to eat what I would like, but not being allowed to  :-\

OK, this is a bit weird... had a great big (and probably ill-advised) 'mountain of pasta and garlic bread' lunch today, followed by a rather extended snooze on the sofa... and somehow woke up convinced that it was actually Sunday...  :(

No joke, it was coming up to 4pm, I needed to get a few household supplies but looked at the clock and thought 'nah, too late to go to ASDA' so went down the road to the local corner shop... it was honestly a couple of hours before I figured out that it was still Saturday...

What the heck went on with my silly brain today?   :-\

An older mate at work told me about cars and their problems there were in the early days.

His friend had a Taunus in late 70's and the owner wondered why does it seem there fits always less and less fuel inside the tank. When he searched for a reason he found out a pipe that drains the fuel from the tank had sucked too hard and the tank had turned into a little foil ball around the pipe. Like a raisin or something.  ;D
