Well, this might also be a thing for the "What pissed you off..." thread - but since I have been working for this company for almost thirty years now I know better than to let certain things upset me.

So we are expecting visitors at work today and my boss asked me to prepare the conference room. As per usual, why not, no big deal.
He did, however, ask my dear co-worker, Janina, to greet them and lead them there as too much of my ink is showing in summer. *ROTFL* It's not like most people who come visit us haven't  known me for ages.
He did, however, have the guts to apologise to me for doing this. If you know him, this IS a big deal.

After all these years I am really amused rather than upset.  ;D

Waiting for the bus yesterday, so the bus is stopped at lights maybe 20 yards away, so needing my nicotine fix for the 20 ish minute journey I take a few big vapes (clouds bro clouds) . As I get on the bus the driver comments  "fcking hell mate that things kick some amount of smoke  " is that good for you"   . I tell him its not smoke its vapour n the rcp say its at least 95% safer than cigs . Seems to be my standard response to mail mirror sun readers these days.

Two so far
A.  Whilst on the self scanners in Asda, the pa system started playing tear for fears shout. Very apt for those things.

B. Refusing to let the tv licensing guy in my house. Yes he will be back like Arnie but I'm ready for them.

OK, I've said before that my financial situation is pretty bad at the moment... and today, a bailiff showed up at my door for an old council tax debt... a pretty big and scary dude.  I can't deny that I was thinking he'd be out the door within ten minutes with my laptop and TV...  :o

Honestly, I swear this is true... I explained my financial scenario... and he agreed that I was fucked financially and then took the time to tell me what my rights were and how, basically, he could do very little, as his fellow workmates would be able to do if they put in further visits.  He even directed me to websites that could put it into further detail!

I know that these debts of mine will have to be paid off at some point... but this was a genuine act of kindness from someone who could have been a dick about the whole thing.  Perhaps he was just fed up with his job?  Who knows.  But I'm so thankful to this fella.  Put a bit of faith back in my head about the whole 'humanity' thing.

What a nice guy.  :)

My new word for the day:

Significunt: A complete dick who thinks he's important.

Already found multiple uses for it today and it's not even lunchtime here.
