OK, after a bit of a rethink, I'm gonna play devils advocate here... we all like to support the artists we love, right? That's why we buy all our NMA stuff from The Shop.
But it seems that this documentary wasn't an 'NMA Production'... so shouldn't we be looking into paying the film-makers back for the time, effort and, yes, money that they put into it? I can't imagine they made a huge profit from it and film-making ain't cheap...
NMA are artists. So are these film-makers. Art does not exist without the support of those who love it.
If buying from The Shop is the best way of getting the film-makers their fair chunk of the cash, so be it. If not... where?
I am a true believer that artists should be paid for their efforts.
Sorry.
