Tomorrow we are travelling to Germany for my son's first NMA gig. He is pretty excited. And so am I!

Congrats. There seems to be a new generation growing all the time. :)
In Manchester I saw there was a very young dude with a NMA tee and in a middle of the pit(!) enjoying and dancing with his full heart.

Nice one Bever, I am jealous. Both my Son's are old enough to go to gigs on their own and  do do. I have invited both of them to come to NMA with me and been turned down. I suppose its a case of, its not cool to like what your dad likes in our house  >:(

I remember my first gig with my daughter we went to Serj Tankian at the abc in Glasgow, it was really cool, I don't think she would go to nma , the poor girl probably suffered listening to them most days growing up. Serj was excellent he had not long released the elect the dead cd and looked cool in his white suit with matching top hat

I went to some smaller Belgian bands with him in the past. Did Editors last month because my wife had a hernia and couldn't go (he was lucky). But this is the first NMA, so it is special to me.

Never made it to Koln... my best mates Dad lives about half an hour away and me and my mate never made it there together... I've heard it's a terrific venue... maybe one of these years, eh?

Hope your son enjoyed! And you too, of course! :)
Enjoy the time!

My son was 13 at his first NMA gig at the "Bosuil" in Weert (NL) in 2006.
He had so bright eyes as Marshall brought us backstage and Philipp collected all the signs on his NMA poster.
Than he got a pair of drum sticks from Michael. :D
(Short time before he started to play drums and Michael was one of his great Idols.)
Till 2008 we went to a lot of gigs across Germany and Netherlands, sleeping in the car, went to the next gig. It was a great time.
...
...
And than his taste of music turns. It was much cooler to be a rapper ...  :'(
So enjoy the time with your son Bever! ;)

Hey Bever, very strange we didn't meet before.  Been to Cologne about 15 times and of course most of their concerts in Belgium, of which a few with the (3) kids.  When they were between 12 and 16, they loved it.  However, nowadays the NMA hoodies and shirts stay in the clauset.  When I order my ticks for Cologne, the only thing I hear from them, is : 'oh no, not again !  When are you and your mates going to grow up ?'

Ha, that's funny and sad at the same time :) I guess we will never grow up. Fortunately!

He is now wearing his hoodie with proud. Practicing some NMA rifs on the guitar. Singing along in the car. Yeah, I got him all in :)
