Cheers, DB.  First day today, went pretty well, people pleased to see me after a year away, seemed to be confident I can knock it out of the park.

Hey Red, I'll take that advice.

I live twenty minutes walk from a little known obscure station called 'Crewe' (very few trains go through there...  ;) ) and I believe that there's a Virgin training place just down the road?  And, yes, there's a dirty joke in there somewhere...

I'll keep on trying, you never know!

Ah Crewe,

I go there quite a lot as we have offices on Macon Road and sometimes work at the freight yard

I'm over there on Friday for a meeting if you're about in the afternoon for a meet up and a pint, also there on 25th for another meeting (union, as I'm our staff rep)

Cheers
Is is a crime to believe in something different?

I meant what I said at the time that I said it

Hey, Red!  Up for that, but I couldn't get there before 5.30 at the earliest, straight from work... I think your first week at a new job is a bit too soon to say 'can I bugger off early on Friday?'  ;D

PM me if so.

I have been a firefighter for 28 years (1988), the only thing I've stuck at for longer is being a NMA fan!! I do love my job, it can be very rewarding but also frustrating - mainly due to government imposed changes or public sector politics!!

I'm a binman, have been for 28 years. I love the early finishes and no stress that goes with never seeing your bosses once you leave the yard.
Tonight, as you stare at the ceiling again
With your lover turning away
Disappointment closing in
Like the walls... and you try...
You try to talk about love
And they put their arms around you
But you still feel all alone
Wonder why...

The fancy name of it - R&D / Production engineering Technician for a Pro Audio manufacturer.
Basically I play with mixing consoles, create build instructions, verify alternate components to be used ect...

On the whole it's enjoyable - can't be too bad I've been there for 26yrs.
