hey witch,

at first i thought abut the wyndham hotel near the cologne main station, but the price for december was about 190€.
so i looked at booking.com and found this in mühlheim, where the palladium is. it's about 90€:

but i would got for these two, about 75€, i think one with brakfast included. from there you can go by subway (i think it's the 4 and 18 to mühlheim) easily:

i don't know if these links will work.
i recommend you book soon, it seems that not many hotels under 100€ per night are left over. check out booking.com, i used it and it worked fine.

We always stay in the Holiday Inn Express. It's basically the only hotel within walking distance to the Palladium. Unfortunately, this year it looks like it's fully booked already...

I always stay at the Motel One Neumarkt or Waidmarkt. Neumarkt is better but more expensive.

They still have rooms, I just booked.

so two days ago my friend in cologne told me that i cannot sleep on his couch. we talked about this some weeks ago and i asked him last week if this will work and he answered two days ago.
so now i had to find something and i found a hotel near the dome for 75€ with breakfast. what the heck, it's only money. and i can sleep in a bed, have some breakfast and off to amsterdam on sunday...
