Good points both of you, and thanks for taking the time and effort to reason and explain your ideas. Ghosttrain said something that is really important in that matter. I believe that we have to differ between the usage of the drug, which has its own problems and surely is not for young people, who are in the midst of development. My whole points were about the discrimination of the users. Bunny said some things that i also can relate to, but i want to add, that if you have people who have problems with their habits and their sourroundings i totally think that also criminalzing them makes everything worse. How many people are in jail because of posession of cannabis? How does being in jail affect them?...

As ghosttrain said, with legalization comes control about the substance and if problems would occur you wouldn't have to keeep it a secret, in fear of being arrested.

My life has been pretty fucked up because of the laws against cannabis, not by cannabis. And if it were legal, billions off dollars would go into the tax-structure instead of narco dollars and you would be allowed to sow some seeds and just reap some tasty, wellbeing bringing fruits, without having to buy this insanely strong modifyed weed.
ever tried. ever failed. no matter.
try again. fail again. fail better.

But if I had kids what would I teach them is none of your bussines.

But it is my business. I assume you live on planet Earth. Therefore your kids may one day interact with me, interact with my kids, interact with other people on this planet. If you raise your kids that doing drugs is no big deal, well that is a problem for me and everybody else in our society. Driving while under the influence, robbing people to get money to buy their drugs...don't you see that how one raises one's kids IS all our business.
Dont worry. Our kids are pretty far from interacting your greatest, bright, white, medalwinner, best kids/society.We are too busy struggling with our own problems caused by some parts of your nation(cia, pentagon, white house) and trying to teach them how to survive against the power obsessed country which is trying to control everything and keeping us divided, broken, corrupted and bringing never ending wars, crimes, pain, blood, tears to our land and leaving behind so many broken lives.I think you d better teach your kids not to threaten other nations before  weed, alcohol or gambling.

Of all the crap Whirlwind spouts I'm so with him on one point and that's his dislike of Bon Jovi, I sooooo can't stand them, my most hated band of all time.

Bunny and Ghosttrain are correct. And I don't think they are agreeing with Whirlwind because Whirlwind is always correct and they simply want to ride his coattails and bask in his glory. No. I do believe Bunny's and Ghosttrain's correct thoughts about weed stem from the fact that they have had massive experience with weed and know of what they speak.

You've been listening to too many Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Woody Guthrie, and New Model Army songs.

I suggest you chill out and buy the latest John Bon Jovi album. Free your mind from poisonous anti-American lyrics and just sit back and listen to John's simplistic idiocy.

Yup. Mr. Bon Jovi's music is as bad as it gets. I actually give the guy credit for being so bad. At least he is good at something.

Just curious, who is your number two "I sooooo can't stand them" musical artist?
I go with Billy Joel. Oh, is he bad. Not funny bad, but makes me angry bad.

I don't drink alcohol, I don't do drugs, I do listen to Motorhead. And right there is the lesson for everybody: You don't need alcohol, you don't need drugs, all you really need in life is Motorhead.

Motorhead. A band that made music after copious amounts of alcohol and drugs.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

Urban legend. Just like the bull crap that soldiers in Vietnam were all stoned.

Use your noodle. You think a soldier with danger and death all around him would go out on patrol stoned out of his gourd? Do you think a band would go into the studio to lay down tracks would be so wasted that they couldn't even walk let alone play their instruments? Do me a favor, listen to Motorhead. Listen to the incredible musicianship of the players. You think Phil Taylor, Fast Eddie, and Lemmy were wasted when they laid down that incredible music? Incredible to do straight, impossible to do wasted.

No I dont think that. But I do think they used alcohol and drugs in copious amounts.

I pretty much dislike Guns n Roses but not for their musical output, although it doesn't do anything for me, but maybe more so Axl Rose than the actual band.  His treatment of fans during live performances regarding when he drags his arse on stage doesn't do it for me, yeah he's a rock n roll hero, but why piss on those that pay your wages, total and utter knobhead in my eyes.

Not overly impressed with some of Manchester's supposed finest either especially when you have a band like The Chameleons getting over looked, pretty sure you'll agree with me on that score Whirlwind.

Wrong. Many of their songs are simply great kick ass rock songs. I'm not a fan of their genre, but those boys sure could come up with aggressive ass-kicking music.

So true. That guy was a complete tool and what he did regarding live show audiences was not rock and roll at all. It was simply that guy was not raised right and has no regard for anybody but himself. I'd use the word dick but it probably will get blocked here.

Hmm, two thoughts here.
1) "Manchester's supposed finest"? Uhh, I can name about fifteen bands out of Manchester area that are among the best bands that ever existed. Joy Division, New Order, Smiths, Stone Roses, The Fall, Marc Riley and the Creepers, Easterhouse, Buzzcocks....
2) Yes, The Chameleons are tragically overlooked. All those phenomenal bands I listed above...The Chameleons were better than all of them.

- but not for their musical output - you missed this bit in your statement Whirlwind

Oh I'm a big Joy Division fan even having recently visited Ian Curtis's grave and I've seen New Order several time and The Fall back in 1988.  I don't mind the rest of the bands you have listed although I find The Stone Roses so totally over rated along with Oasis.

2) Yes, The Chameleons are tragically overlooked. All those phenomenal bands I listed above...The Chameleons were better than all of them.

Oh I totally agree with you on that score.  I've seen them live a few times and never came away disappointed and I have even enjoyed many Chameleons Vox gigs as well.  I even saw Mark Burgess supporting NMA in Manchester a few years back.
