Title: What's happened to NMA's official FB page, is it no longer public?

Have I missed a crucial update about NMA's official FB page? As of right now, it is no longer public, yet their twitter page still is... which doesn't make any sense to me. I just went there to see whether the 40th Anniversary re-streaming dates were more specifically defined, clearer, but found that NMA's FB page was no longer accessible. I feel beyond awful, lost. If this is permanent, I'm going to seriously fall by the wayside.

Would someone, anyone please take a brief minute to let me tell me what's happening, what's going on with it? Please? It'd mean a great deal to me, as it was only because of that page that I was held in any kind of NMA music loop this past weekend Viv, most likely was terribly busy elsewhere.

Dear Viv et al.,

Please forgive me for bothering you. But NMA's official FB page, does in fact appear to no longer be publicly accessible, open to non FB users / members. One is required to sign up / join to see any of the seriously crucial NMA updates, etc.. I swear on my own life, I'm not making any of this recent, extremely saddening discovery up. Believe me, I've been trying on and off since 8pm EST last evening, using the official NMA .org website portal link, and still, I am not welcome there as a non FB member to access openly any updates. Viv, you were nowhere to be seen here this past weekend, for likely more important reasons, of course... and the official NMA .org site didn't have not one single 40th Anniversary URL link or other update, aside from the original update dated the 16th of October, up on NMA's own website, meaning, the newmodelarmy.org home page. :-[

Folk like me, here from the forum, in the same boat as me, were left to fend for ourselves. Thank heaven there were a number of truly wonderful people here on the forum, who pulled me up, and helped me out, by keeping me in the NMA music loop. I'm the only NMA fan I know, in my normal world, so being cut off from crucial updates, really hurts, not only me, but all of us. I'm sure it's not intentional, the no longer accessible to non FB members such as myself, but it would be so incredibly appreciated by those in the same situation as me, if you would kindly, please double check the portal link to NMA official FB page that is up on the .org home page, as well as checking into the what is happening from perhaps FB's end as well. :-[

I'd take a screen shot of what I see as a non registered FB member, to let you understand that folk like me, have been shut out and left in darkness, but I'm too thick, stupid to know how to screen capture and post the captured visual here, in this thread. :-[

I refuse to join FB. I have personal issues with that social platform! Though not with NMA & co.. Pease Viv, take a few minutes to look into this weird FB problem, from all possible angles? And post something here, to let me know what I'm doing so incredibly wrong? Thank you for your time. :-[

I want to thank every single brilliant soul on this board, who so kindly, graciously, selflessly, extended me their arm, virtual open hand, to me over this past weekend and helped me, kept me from falling by the wayside. I would've been absolutely lost without every single one of you genuinely beautiful people, and beautiful where and how it matters most. You know who you all are. Thank you for that, truly... thank you so very much. :'(

Not everybody cares to make and take the time to help out their fellow man, woman, child, etc. but you've all proven that you're all each worth your weight in GOLD, SILVER & PLATINUM, for that seemingly to you, so tiny gesture, bit of generosity, yet to me, they were all, profoundly appreciated tremendous acts of kindness, benevolence. Thanks for saving me, when I really needed it. Even if you each think, believe, feel that I am over reacting, this is quite a big deal to me, and very real indeed, to me. Pease know, that each of you did in fact, make someone out there in the world = me, so very happy, by doing so very little... even if it was something you might deem as silly, it was nowhere near silly to me. So, thank you... each one of you. :-[:'(

That you don't have a Facebook account and can not read the pages is nothing to do with NMA and everything to do with Facebook and, as such, there is sadly absolutely nothing NMA can do about that. To be honest I thought you already had to be signed up to read posts.

Facebook have recently imposed a new version of FB on everyone and with the exception of very few it has been almost universally panned. That they are now putting more and more ads on the news feed and showing you less and less posts by your friends is frustrating and annoying. FFS, do they not have enough money already?

Frankly I'm sick of FB, but kinda have to be on there...

I am terribly embarrassed to say, that I know how to pull a photo off the net and insert it into a thread, but have no clue how to insert actual screen captures. I've got to play around with figuring out how to do that... it would prove incredibly useful. What a tremendous help you've been, fiddlesticks! THANK YOU for your crucial input. :)

Yeah, Bunny :) that's the very first thought that entered my mind, but had no way of knowing for certain. I just knew NMA & co. was not to blame. They would never block us out, especially if we didn't do anything unacceptable, etc.. Another thought that came to mind was that maybe it was some sort of glitch or hack. But when Viv said things were ok, I thought, that it must be something else then, or worse, me.

I remember when I was peeking back and forth over the weekend there had been a crap-load of foreign links, likely by bots, supposedly containing URLs for the 40th live stream. I noticed a lot of the NMA FB contingent were doing the right thing and reporting them to FB. It might've been FB's way of solving that problem... I don't know.
