Ah, it's December, time to make some 'Best Of' lists... ;D
Personally, they've been a ton of great albums this year IMHO... last year I struggled to come up with half a dozen titles but this year I've had to leave that same number off the list...
For the record, I'm including only albums of brand new material, that's just my jam, hence 'Carnival Redux' not being on the list, but if any of you lovely guys want to include re-releases, remixes, live albums, compilations etc then, hey, go with your bad self! ;)
So, without further ado...
1- Marilyn Manson – WE ARE CHAOS
2 - Fish – Weltschmerz
3 - Bruce Springsteen – Letter To You
4 - James Dean Bradfield – Even In Exile
5 - The Levellers – Peace
6 – Paradise Lost - Obsidian
7 - Doves – The Universal Want
8 – Biffy Clyro – A Celebration Of Endings
9 - The Slow Readers Club – 91 Days In Isolation
10 – JARV IS – Beyond The Pale.
So, what new albums have been tickling your pickles this year? ???

A nice selection there Mr. Ray. I must check some of those out. I didn't buy many new releases this year. I'm also getting old and I can't remember what was this year or last year or when I actually bought it...
Anyway, the these are the 2020 albums I bought that I liked best:
Bright Eyes - Down in the Weeds
The Levellers - Peace
Einsturzende Neubauten - Alles in Allem
Midnight Oil - The Makaratta Project
-
I bought quite a few CD's this year but mostly from Bands/Artists i have just discovered so not many from 2020,however my top albums of the year are..(in no particular order)..
Brona McVittie The Man In The Mountain
Stick In The Wheel Hold Fast
Levellers Peace
Grateful Dead Workingman's Dead 50th. Anniv.
Grateful Dead American Beauty 50th Anniv.

Ten best? This took a while... and made me realize that this year has not been that bad in the end... but rather heavy for sure :) At least there's one peaceful album on my list, from Bohren...
I had to include one album from 2019 though (Human Target) - no idea how I managed to miss it last year but I've been listening to it almost neurotically this year. Also Few EPs on the list - naturally, for a good reason :)
Haven't really listened to Sepultura much for years and had some suspicions but the new album was a positive surprise.
The most waited one for me was from Today Is the Day and they delivered - No Good to Anyone being a weirdly beautiful album and no doubt my favourite this year! Indeed, album is not dead, this one proves it also.
One music video was released: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ4T0CPZIx4 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ4T0CPZIx4)
And Mr. Bungle came as a huge surprise, thanks cthulhu for mentioning it! D
Here we go, kind of in order...:
1. Today Is the Day - No Good to Anyone
2. Napalm Death - Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism
3. Thy Art Is Murder - Human Target
4. Mr. Bungle - The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny
5. Bohren & der Club of Gore - Patchouli Blue
6. Psycroptic - The Watcher of All
7. Zeal & Ardor - Wake of a Nation
8. Carcass - Despicable
9. Lamb of God - Lamb of God
10. Sepultura - Quadra

i don't have ten albums, was thinking about it, what year?, this year?..i can't remember.
I re-discovered The Sword for me in a new way, i bought:
- High Country - The Sword
- Low Country - The Sword
- Used Future - The Sword
- Greetings From - The Sword
and i'm playing those very often.
Then very close together came Carnival - Redux and Scumdogs of the Universe - Remixed by GWAR. To me there are so many similarities between GWAR and NMA, that you might think i'm crazy;-) They also had a live-streaming concert to celebrate the 30th anniversarie of the album, just a week after our global gathering...
Then Mr. Bungle - The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo (Tarsier, this is for you (and evrybody else who's interested Mr Bungle Koln 2000 TV Broadcast Pro-Shot (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFz5f9XV0NE[/url) saw them live two times, mindblowing! and one of them was this concert in the live music hall)
and that's it.

I have to thank you as I truly enjoyed this, it must've been one hell of a show live! :D According to date it felt like a Christmas present also...wanted to reply as such but failed... Also, this is not the one I originally wanted to post to you as a Christmas present but now noticed that there's an alarming number of Cthulhu -related Christmas carols....anyway, here we go... :( :o ::) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccefqYQWtdA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccefqYQWtdA)
