Title: 28th May
Post by: Willard on June 03, 2021, 05:33:32 PM
Love the song, just wondering if there is historical significance to this date?  (aside from it being the release date of the album, and the birthday of board member jandco!)

Yep, an autobiographical story from his days in Belfast.

I don't doubt that to be true, but is there somewhere I might have gotten that info?  Was it revealed in an interview I missed? Or do you both have it from personal communication?

JS lived in Belfast for a year from September 1975 until August 1976. If you trawl through the history sites you might find a reference to the date; but it doesn't matter if you take some spirit from the song...

Thanks everyone for your replies.  I did find some information about that date in Belfast history.  Quite a song!
