Ticket and hotel booked, hoping I might see some faces / posters from this fine Forum there, that Christmas trip to Nottingham is something I've always looked forward to after SO many fine previous shows, hugely missed it last year!

Any update? C'mon, Shush, surely you and your good lady are turning up? Is there gonna be a pre-gig meet or an aftershow? Seems like it's another hot and sweaty sold out show.
Although I have to say... the last couple of NMA shows I've attended have been a little odd in terms of recognizing old faces. I'm not talking about people I know through this fine Forum, more so the people I don't know but who I have seen time and time again in what must be, for me, over a hundred NMA gigs over the decades. Is it just that some of the old fans are just not coming along anymore, they're just a bit too old and ache-y to manage it anymore?
Whatever... I look forward to endlessly queueing up in the freezing cold and usually pouring rain that a gig at Rockers in December will doubtlessly entail and, when we all finally get into the venue, the whole place smells like a wet dog... ;) :D

So I'm guessing that seeing as most of the OG NMA Forum (pretty sure that 'OG' is something da kidz say nowadays) are absent from this Forum and may not be coming to the show or even be following the band anymore... there's no pre-gig meet or aftershow planned? :-[

I'll be there, but I don't actually know anybody off the forum in real life. Possibly because I'm an antisocial git and don't go drinking before/after. But I'll be there.

You can get physical tickets, like paper / cardboard ones, anymore? I miss those days, mainly because I sometimes struggle to figure out how to download them or retrieve them from that annoying rectangle I call a Smartphone... I think it's called 'getting old'... :-[
(OK, I appreciate it was a metaphor.... ;) )

A thought... according to the Rock City website, doors are open at 6.30 as opposed to 6.00 as had been the custom as long as I've been going to these Christmas shows. Now taking into account that's there's a club night starting at 10 does this mean that this year it's going to be a single set as opposed to the traditional two set thing? No problem if so, I'm delighted to get anything the band are going to offer us, but was just wondering..? ???
