Gentleman Jack.

A variation of Jack Daniels. Unusually smooth with a flavour that is quite frankly dangerously good. Usually way too expensive for the likes of me to justify. But a litre bought in duty free returning from my latest assignment is presently putting me in a very happy place  :) ;) :)

Even if that's true, it won't mess up my evening... It will be a quiet intimate evening in a pretty small venue... With great songs!

I wouldn't say the Lou gig will be THAT intimate... But it's just a matter of vision, isn't it?  :)

Not quiet happy at the moment. Normally we would be in Paris... Instead I went working, had a stressy day, ate some fast food and watched some boring tv...  :(

i've started a training to be a tattooist. Since my first tattoo in 1998, i'm interested in  tattoo world and how the dermorgraph works etc etc
i won't open a Tattoo Shop just after my training, it would be crazy to do that. I'll look for a Tattoo Shop where i'll be able to work and learn more and more. In that job we learn all our life.

yeah mine !  ;D

and i like pointillisme (i don't know how to say that in English) maybe Dot tattoo (?) because to me some design can be very spiritual, and it's very light.
what I know is i'll do black (and white) tattooes.
i don't really like japanese style or old school style. I think japanese is very very difficult, that make some beautiful tattooes but those kind of tattoo style are not for me.

the styles I like are what Yann Black (http://yourmeatismine.com/ (http://yourmeatismine.com/))do for example, or a guy called Jekyll from a tattoo shop in Paris Bleu Noir (http://www.jeykill.com/ (http://www.jeykill.com/)), or Florence Amblard (http://www.tatouage-art-paris.fr/ (http://www.tatouage-art-paris.fr/)) . They got their own style. Their style are very light, graphic, beautiful and black (except for Florence, there are some colorful tattooes ;)

Good luck with ink slinging! It's a tough job, and leads to back issues with alot of tattoo artists..... Plus dealing with a stream of people with varying expectations, psycosis and all manner of hang ups won't be easy. But the rewards are there if you make it........
It's a long process to but worth it in the end......... ENJOY IT!!!!!!!

Have you ever seen Tin Tin's Tattoo work in Paris? He's a really innovative and tallentwed ink slinger by the way........ If you have'nt already go check his stuff.

i know Tin Tin of course, i respect him & he's very good (especially for portrait)  but i don't like his trait. For some tattooes his trait is rough. And i really prefer new tattooist who come with a new style, their own style. Like tattooist I mentionned in my last message.

Have a look at Tattoo Artistry on Myspace and Face Book. My friends in Tucson do amazing work. Ed Slocum is a fantastic artist.........

Just got back from a £400 a night hotel, start of the birthday celebrations. No coffee in the room though. Still a very happy place - Had a Bose speaker in the room.
Had to pass on the whiskey at £250 a double. Speckled Hen instead. ???

Really really really happy that us -- french people -- told today to Mr Sarkozy "clear off!!!". He's been the worst president under the actual constitution (the 5th in France), many people like I were ashamed of what he had done with our country -- it's such a relief... :D

[I have to specify that this is the french 5th republican constitution, because if I remember well there have been several episodes of constitutional monarchy in the XVIIIth and XIXth centuries...]

Well, I'm happy for many reasons, because I love my wife and our daughter, because for a few months now we have left the city and live in a charming place in the country -- it's so different, it's so nice... (I can see sheeps through my window: isn't it more charming than concrete walls?!)

my happy place is working, free of distractions, in a salon with no limitations on the finished result of a client. hairdressing for 26 years and i love it, relaxing, creative and happy. It helps that I now dont work in a salon, just teach all over the world, but a day in an English salon with clients who trust and enjoy what I do.........aaaaaaaaahhhhh big contented sigh.

Both Anneke + band and Frames were pretty good, it was a very good time with excellent music... That makes me happy!! ::)

@NickyG: congratulations! And yes, the 1st year goes so fast... But then the more your child gets autonomous, with years, the more time goes (a bit) less quickly (compared with the 1st months).

Bienvenue! ;)

Happy because when looking with attention various "networks" of information (flyers, the web, people, etc.), I realise there are several active ecologist groups around the place I've moved in a few months ago. They're active in many ways, and I think these local initiatives are precisely what has to be done in this f*#<ing society where politicians are nothing else than marketed puppets who contribute to the massive (consumer) society suicide we're marching towards...
