Title: Voice clip at start of "High"

Can anyone tell me what the voice clip at the beginning of "High" is? Is it a clip from a very old movie or something? Hopefully someone can enlighten me? Cheers  :)

They talk about it in an interview, but I can't find it right now.  From what I remember, it was taken from a speech a guy was giving out on the streets of Washington DC the day after they played there.  Just a random gathering out on the street.  They just stopped the van, got out and recorded it.  I vaguely remember them saying it was about 20 minutes long.

Me too, always wondered if it had been from some film I didn't see or something, so that's interesting to know and solves a bit of a mystery on a well loved track from an amazing album so thanks for the insight

At least part of it is a quote from the bible - google it and you'll find it, some of it is hard to make out but it makes sense that some random bloke in DC would be spouting the bible, americans being the God fearing folk that they are...

Yes, I remember from somewhere that it was a street preacher. Off the top of my head, I'd say he was citing 2 Corinthians 5:17...
