Hi there,
my partner and I are headed to Manchester from Australia and are wondering if there are any spare seats in vehicles heading from London towards the Strummercamp/Wolverhampton gigs.
Been waiting for years to see them & were teased with a cancelled Australian tour a few years back. We arrive in UK that wednesday so what a great intro to Europe...
We're still keen to make it to Bilston too but have a full weekend pass, so would like to get to Manchester by the Friday.
We could chip in for petrol, take a turn driving, keep each other awake, save some bucks & fossil fuels, probably talk jetlagged nonsense & amuse you with our naive newcomer innocense etc etc.
Alternatively if anyone knows the best method of getting there we could use some suggestions, especially from Manchester to the actual site, that would be awesome!
Ok thanks folks maybe see you soon!
Nick & Erin

I'm heading from Canterbury to Manchester on the Friday,
Are you planning on going to Strummercamp on the Friday? All the advertising is concentrated on the Saturday and Sunday, so not quite sure what to expect on the Friday and undecided about going that night ... This is what the website says... sounds like it could be good - don't know, what do you think?
"With over 70 acts now confirmed over the 3 days, it promises to be an absolutely amazing weekend. Gates open at 3pm on the Friday-So come early & enjoy a few Ice-Cold beers from our hosts well stocked & sensibly priced bars, while house DJ Gadge settles you in to proceedings with his Tent Erection Selections hour. At 6pm our annual Friday night welcome party begins with more top tunes & performances from some fantastic live bands until late-when you can retire to the campsite to sleep it off."

Yes - figured I would - might as well. Not exactly sure what is happening either - certainly, as you say everything looked to be centred around the other two days. I'm off the opinion personally that I'd like to get the long journey done and be fresh for the Saturday, so a lighter evening on Friday (if that's even the case) wouldn't be a major blow. Bottom line: there'll be music and booze - good enough for me! ;D

Hi, regards Friday evening/night at Strummercamp - We start welcoming our guests at around 2pm. Bars will be open and you can pitch your tents while listening to some tunes from our Camp DJ - Gadge - to get you all in the mood for a great weekend. Following that we have live bands playing into the early hours on the Clubhouse stage.
Food will be available and beer etc at or below pub prices.
Friday night is only available to full weekend ticket holders which is why it appears to be publicized less but it's no less fun!
If anyone is stuck for transport - please feel free to post on the Facebook Official Strummercamp page as we are a very friendly bunch and we will do our best to help you.

Los Amigos are looking forward to welcoming N.M.A. and their fans to Strummercamp - The Magnificent 7th. x
