Feeling all pleased with meself for finding this gem. It isn't. It sounds like its been recorded from the bottom of the Mersey, absolutely shocking. Also turned up in a broken case  >:(    - always annoys me.

Good bloody evening by the way.

doesnt look like theres a decent recording - there's a good archive of whats out there at

and if you have a good google - you can probably find most shows to download/listen to for free instead of paying some dodgy bootlegger

I have been known to comment on these recordings before and that they should be avoided due to paying for something that if sought after can be find quite easily.  I have this recording listed as Liverpool University but maybe the Bierkeller was a venue within the University?? and the only know source for this gig is an audience recording so more than likely a better source will not appear.  If any of these recordings appear on Ebay again it is probably wise to ask for advice as there are probably a few on the forum who like myself collect live recordings and would be more than happy to advise on any bootlegs that appear on Ebay in the future

Ah, from the days of dodgy hand held cassettecorder recordings with loads of audience noise, all muffled and hissy. Takes me right back to record fairs in the eighties and the bootleg tapes I bought back then. A bit like your recollection of the sound of gigs when you'd had a couple too many. Which makes you wonder what listening to them in your lounge would be like if you were as pissed as you were at the gig way back then, hmmm ;~ D
