Ant ideas where people are meeting for a drinkie or four before the gig in Bilston. Never been before, so don't know the area.
Cheers

I'm going to tentatively advise AGAINST the White Rose... it ought to be the obvious and ideal choice, as it's closest to the venue and has a greay beer selection, but we've been there twice now before gigs at the Robin, and the service there is appalling.... both times we left, before getting even close to being served in a 20 minute queue at the bar, and went directly to the venue.
If they can get their act together, then the White Rose would be great; if not, then any other suggestions would be good. :)

Ain't there somewhere that sells a decent cider : ~ D

By the eighth pint, Pazza, I could be drinking meths and think it was nice!
-
An alternative could be The Trumpet at 58 High Street, Bilston, West Midlands, WV14 0EP
There's also a Spoons on the High Street.
The ideal choice is the Old White Rose (Great selection of beers and 2 minutes walk to the Robin2 but as JulieFrazz says, it's a nightmare trying to get served in there when there's a gig on.
I'll drop them an email and see what they say.

Erekose, we must educate you Stoney and I the next time we are at a bar together, which sounds like it may be very soon.
Mind you that bl%ddy Thatchers Gold meant I could hardly remember NMA coming to Bridport which is a bit of a p1$$£r now I look back on it all (what I can remember of it, that is)

I think that may be a lost cause, I even took him to the Cider only bar in Euston for a pre Killing Joke drink and it did not convince him - although seeing the mess I was in by the end of the evening might have something to do with it :)
-
Well, it was 307% alcohol after all Kev ;D
-
So has a meetplace been decided ? I cant fathom through the thread ;)
-
I'm hearing whispers of ThebTrumpet, but haven't heard anything definite, less than a week now and excited!
