hi everyone,
We will arrive in Bradford on Wednesday so plenty of time before the gig on Thursday.
Is there anything anyone can recommend on seeing or doing??
Cheers!

Museum Of Photography is good.
If you like grave yard archetecture Undercliffe Cemetary (yes near Undercliffe Road) is amazing........
A walk around the Little Germany area is good for fantastic 19th centuary buildings.
Maningham Park was featured in Monte Pythin's Mang Of Life (Every Sperm Is Sacred sng clip), as was Saltaire in Shipley. Only train ride from Bradford.
' a geat scond hand cd and vinyl shop on West Gate I can recomend and give directosify want?
Queens Hall is now a pub but does decent beers, a is the ld Windsor Baths. Sight of a few great NMA gigs was Queens Hall. St Georges Hall is right by the Interchange
Bradford Town Hall is also a fine piece of architecture itself. Design, I believe, by the same genius who built the houses of Parliament.
Brasford was, for a time the richest city in Europe so they say......... Now it just has more pound shops per capita than anywhere in the UK........ =(
But it is home of the Morrisons Empire!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
Oh and a very fine Northern Beat Combo.......... and Terrorvision! :o

Any suggestions for where we could get some chips Stoney? ;D

Little chippy near the venue is god, next to Army Information Centre. The "other" army, bots aint as good. Lots of travel options tho. Not as much fun tho,.....
Or the chippy on city square is actually pretty good. Loads n loads out of town tho, but I'm guessin' yer on public transport? Slows the job down some what......

Little chippy near the venue
I was just reminiscing about my previous tour of Bowling Lane, that's all ;D
Little Germany sounds good. Maybe Saltaire too if we had time.
If we wanted to drive round the moors and countryside outside the city, which is the best area to head for?
-
Cow n Calf near Ilkley (moors Bah Tat!)......
Baildon Moor aswell.
Plus Bronte' Country up in Haworth........... Beautiful even to my City Boy eyes...... :o
-
Thanks so far, I will have a deeper look into all the options tonight.
I had my doubts (no, not really) that there would be too little time
for "everything"and now I know for sure!

Oh just thought, I'm doin' a quick home town tour on Friday yer interested or have time? Mr Chris and Mama are gettin' the long awaited guided tou before we set off up to Darlo'..... 8)

I wish we were able but Sandra and I have a VERY early flight back home, at 07.20 hrs and I don't think your tour starts that early.
A real shame but Ryanair decided to mess things up a couple of weeks after we booked our flight.
-
I'll have a bit of that tour action...
-
No botha, we'll sort summat the aftrnoon before. set off about 11 or sumat tour the sights. Such as they are? lol
-
11am Friday morning? Count me in - sounds good :)
-
"Little Germany" ... would this be the right place to wear my national colours on a day of a football match Deutschland - England :-\ ? Wish you good luck vs. Italy, tonight ;)
-
hmmmmmm I'm sure you'll be fine! who could possibly fall out with the "Lady" after all? ;)

Heehee dont diss TV :P
Haworth is ok but the Parsonage is a bit of a rip off for entrance fee....its worth walking on past it if you are going that way and heading up to Top Withins for a moorland walk...although its probably all bog land at the minute....If you do visit Haworth pop in to Alter Egos Arts Hub on the way down the hill to the station...the art gallery is set up as is the print shop in the back room...where you will also find the lead singer from Terrorvision printing woodcuts :)
Depending if you want museums the Industrial Museum in Eccleshill is meant to be really good...although Ive not been yet.....
Think Stoney has covered everything else of interest...Undercliffe Cemetery is ace though and site of a few NMA photo shoots......
