This fashion has been around for years albeit a bit underground. Try checking out RUSH, that rather well known Canadian progressive rock outfit....they've recently gone all Steampunk. Their latest album entitled Clockwork Angels is pretty damn good.
I've got some nice steampunk stuff....hats, jackets and a great pocket-watch (thanks Sylvia!).

I guess some of China Mieville's novels might get a wider airing - and deservedly so. "Perdido Street Station" anyone?

Perdido Street Station was my introduction to steam punk, thoroughly enjoyed it.
