"Today is a good day to die" a very memorable line from the film - Little Big Man stated by the great actor Chief Dan George. A superb film about a man (Dustin Hoffman) going through events in the States during the Wild West days. The flow anf path of the film clearly copied for the film, Forest Gump.
I have wondered if JS got the album title from watching this film, reflecting on his own near death experience. Anyone have any thoughts ?

can't comment on where JS got the the title from, as he may well have got it from Crazy Horse, who shouted "Hóka-héy, today is a good day to die!" loosely translated "Let's do this, today is a good day to die!" which is probably where LBM movie got it from.
That said Little Big Man & even A Man Called Horse - great movies

I guess it's quite clear in the lyrics to the title track: it's about the economic crash of 2009, the capitalist system got a taste of their own medicine! Example: "They had claimed victory/They look so stupid now/It's ashes in their mouths". ::)

Not forgetting:
"This joke is on us all
We all are laughable
We became what we despise"
