Just a heads up. Anyone planning on going to the Devizes show, the venue has a capacity of 400 and over 50 tickets sold on the first day of sale. It might be wise to get your tickets sooner rather than later!
-
The on line box offices doesn't open until the 22nd May. You can get tickets by post or by calling the bookshopb 01380725944
-
available from 'we got tickets', e-tickets so less booking fee

Yeah looking forward to that one, tickets here numbers in the teens so we must have got in quick
-
I will let you hav a list of good meet ups ( I am localsih )
-
yeah that'd be good particularly kid friendly pubs
-
I live in the town (and am partially responsible for getting the band booked) and can reccomend a few good pubs. The British Lion in Estcourt Street is the town's only true Free House and whilst operating a no kids in the bar policy, does have a large beer garden where kids are welcome. The Crown in New Park Street welcomes families during the day (and do some great food). The Silk Mercer in St Johns Street is a Wetherspoons with all that entails (cheap booze, food, kids welcome) plus it's only yards from the venue. The Bear Hotel is actually next door to the venue but is very expensive. No pub in town is that far away from The Corn Exchange, Devizes town centre is pretty compact.

Thanks for that, really helpful, really looking forward to the gig, feels like this one will have a similar vibe to the Subscription Rooms in Stroud a few years back and that was a great night

Quick update all round...
PARKING - Easiest car park close to venue is Station Road - simply drive through Devizes Market place, in the centre of town, taking the turning down past the venue, car park is on your left.
SUPPORT - Is GAZ BROOKFIELD (http://gazbrookfield.com/), a Swindoner based in Bristol - who has just completed a tour of Europe opening for The Levellers, and has also supported the likes of Frank Turner and Newton Faulker in the past.
TICKETS - As of today, we have sold 300 tickets - the venue only holds 400, so if you're planning on coming, buy them asap! Or encourage friends to. This show is easily one of the more intimate you're going to see them at.
PUBS - DJ Tufty has made a good account of town, how ever, I'll add THE LAMB in (Just past Silk Mercer) - which, has one of the best pre-show atmospheres going. Regular music there, as such is a muso's pub AND it's festival tradition to take the performing acts there for a drink...
I look forward to seeing you all!

thanks for logistical info sounding better by the minute, NMA in a sub 500 venue outside of a big city is as good as it gets for me personally

I'm gonna pop in the book shop on Saturday for my tickets.
Hope they don't sell out before then.
*bits crossed*
:)

Went in the book shop to get my tickets this morning and looking at the book/stubbs and judging by the number on my ticket (128&129),these are selling well in person and I expect even more on the interwap....sooooo,get your tickets asap !

Been checking out some of the Pubs online, and most seem to close at 23:00 :( Is there anywhere we can get a drink after the gig or is a Travel Lodge room party?
-
what about a curry, 3 poppadoms and 10 pints please. Everybody's happy.
Cheers

Post gig crisis averted...The Crown is open till 2 that night! :)
So, where are we all meeting?
-
I reckon The Lamb sounds safest for pre-gig after that ???
-
Huge massive thank you to everyone who came out to our little town! Was an absolute blast and massive success! Such a great band to deal with too, couldn't of gone better!
-
Just get em back next year, Devizes is a natural Army town I would say, just felt right and your locals clearly liked em ;D ;D! ;D

So, where are we all meeting?
Did anyone venture to The Crown in the end?
Some of us who went for a curry straight after the gig headed there about 1.30, to find it was £3 entry and the music on offer was all a bit "clubby"... we decided to call it a night!
It was lovely to meet up with lots of people pre-gig though :)

Yeah, Lisa and I headed there after the gig and spent all of about 30 seconds in there before deciding it wasn't for us and left. We managed a quick last pint in the Black Sheep ?? opposite the gig venue and then headed back to the B&B.

I did keep saying "go to The Lamb" the band them selves ended up there after!
Justin rolled in so late Sally (landlady) refused to serve him! He was collared by some fans though, and *probably* had to endure mundane questions about random b-sides, and videos and other such uber fan stuff...
