That was fantastic, possibly the best NMA  (even better than Frome ) gig ever.  Proper friendly audience, Justin seemed to like constant cries of " come on get on with it ". And i always love it when a band seems to like where you live.

Top gig , top audience , cracking night....don't leave it another 33 years.

Echo that, great varied set. Band and crowd up for it. Big shout out to gaz Brookfield too not heard a support act keep the whole audience silent like that for a long time. He was well worth a listen and I hope he sold a stack of CDs. Can we do it all again tonight!!

Wot an amazing night, Gaz Brookfield was sensational, wish we hadn't missed half his set but my missus did buy both his CDs off him afterwards so only feel partial guilt.

Just love that for the first time I have witnessed, JS's small town 'survey' uncovered the fact that about a quarter of the audience were indeed from Devizes. What a cool town to have people who appreciate and turned out for an NMA gig. I recall when a similar survey was conducted at Stroud a few years back about four people put their hands up. And the towns feel like they're a similar sort of size.

It was clear the band were enjoying the laid back atmosphere as much as the crowd, as the extra encore demonstrates.

Top marks to the venue, excellent place with the front end bar, for not packing the house out. There was loads of room down near the stage and it was possible to get really close even if you didn't want to get caught up in the pit.

All in all highly civilised, very enjoyable, and on a personal note just a shame that that's it now for me til mid/late November. Could indeed do it all again happily tonight, but then you always can after NMA can't you?

Like what everyone else said.

A brilliant night certainly up there near the top of the list. Fantastic venue and to not pack it right out was inspired - space at the front ? Unheard of? Nice setlist, good sound and a couple of new songs as well, together with a really friendly (and tolerant) audience and yeah - up there near the top. Well, till the next one anyway.

I was genuinely impressed with the audience, having a bunch of legitimate music fans in the venue who didn't want to act up, was fantastic. Really showed the town council, who own the venue, how shows of this stature can work.

The feedback over capacity was interesting too. As I'm always trying to squeeze as many people as possible in, but I'll re-think that.

Anyway, loved the band, loved the crew and loved the show. Top marks all round.

Why your council ain't promoting it as a tour venue in the same way as the Subscription Rooms in Stroud I just dunno, if that's the case then why don't they arrange a council junket trip up to Stroud to see how it could be done  ;D ;D ;D

I think it was the only gig (let alone Army gig) that was "sold out" but still had plenty of space and you weren't shoulder to shoulder (unless you wanted to be).

Brilliant gig.

I put my hand up when Justin asked who lived within 10 miles, but realised I fibbed when I got back in the car and the  Odometer told me it was infact 19 miles. I don't think he will hold it against me !

Anyone who got a setlist from the roadcrew (or a good memory) like to share it, please?

Just a quick note from my missus to say thanks to everyone who helped make our boy's first NMA gig extra special - he went home with Ceri's plectrum and a one hell of a first live impression of the band he has been listening to since he was in a high chair.

Thanks to Taz for inviting him to come and take over the post gig photo line up too!

And cheers to everyone who went out of their way to make him feel so much part of everything at his first gig.

If anyone has a better, and by that I mean nicer and more genuine and close knit following than 'our' band then I'd like to know who it is!!

There is also a Youtube video over >there<[url]

Thanks for posting that, cracking. Hadn't come across Gaz Brookfield before but certainly intend to again, can see why he has supported the Levs so much, we bought both his available CDs and I have ordered the other which apparently sold out when he supported the Levs at Yeovil. Top singer guitarist, one of the best support slots I have seen for NMA and up there in the recent class of Ellen Cox at Northampton

Some really good images, like the ones with JS in smoke, very atmospheric.

Just goes to show what a good light (and smoke) show the band put on. It does make a difference. Went to see Hugh Cornwell a couple of weeks ago and with no proper lights, hardly any crowd and no pit, nothing is quite like the NMA experience, which is why we all keep following them around England and the continent I suppose in a search for some kind of emotional redemption ; D
