Well, after a bit of delay and computer trouble and other snaggles I finally signed up to the lovely community here and I'd just like to introduce myself and say hello to you folk out there; feels kinda nice to climb on board at last - I doubt I'll post much but well, we'll see...
I'm kinda tempted to talk a bit here and REALLY introduce myself but you'd all fall asleep so let me skip it, just say hello - good to be here - hope yer all ok

Welcome Knievel (can I call you track 8?! ;)) and Sozbot.
Enjoy the forum - one of the friendliest in town. :) :)
-
or can we call you Evel ?
-
Alright, mates! I will also welcome you to the finest, friendliest forum on the whole of the Internet. I'm active on a lot of forums, mainly movie-related (I'm a massive film buff) but I can honestly say this forum is where you will find so many decent, right-minded, friendly, intelligent and all-round lovely people. Even when you meet with disagreement, you will find it met with respect and humour. Also, we're all such damn sexy beasts... ;D
Please post often. It doesn't have to be NMA related... there's something on your mind? Throw us a post! There are quite a few of us with so much life experience, we'd love to help!
Don't be shy!

x
Look forward to meeting you all...all good things, Larry

Hopefully see you on the autumn tour mate.
-
You sure will Barty - I'll be using one of my many 'get out of jail' cards for the Manchester gig - I do like to hear them new songs fresh.
-
Looks like there are a few of us on this forum going to the Ritz... perhaps a meet before the show? I know some cracking pubs just around the corner! And seeing as its a Saturday, perhaps a trip up the road to The Curry Mile?
;)
-
Hopefully Lawrence will throw one of his world famous after show parties too.....
-
I believe the aftershow is at Grand Central, same place as last time, and just round the corner from the Ritz and Oxford Road station.... last I heard there was a problem with getting it before midnight because its a Saturday but it was such a good venue/atmosphere last time that it was decided to go with it anyway.
I am sure Lawrence will update this if anything here is wrong but I think he is on holiday or has only just back as of now. Anyway, main thing is he puts on great aftershows and whatever happens I am sure this will be one of the best ! New folks all welcome !
-
I'm hoping to be at the Ritz on the 16th, but I'm not sure yet... Londoner but actually have something I can't get out of on the 23rd... MY WORST NIGHTMARE. So I might have to get the Megabus 'cause I can't afford the train... UGH

I like the curry mile idea - how very civilised :)

If you can afford a train to Peterborough, I have space in my car for the trip to Manchester. I'm only coming back as far is Bilston the next day though, but the offer's open.

Loved last year's at the Grand Central. Went to the gig on my own, staying at some crummy hotel which I didn't fancy the walk back to given the area it was in. So...went to the aftershow for a few more beers and had a belting time. The music was awesome (early Nineties alternative classics, interspersed with NMA), everyone was mega friendly, no hint of any trouble, and to top it all I had a 15 minute chat with Nelson. Roll on the autumn tour! :D :D

LOVE Grand Central, I go there often... The Thirsty Scholar and The Salisbury are also worth a look, both literally a stones throw from GC!

Thank you, what a kind offer! However, I think I've convinced my fiance not to go to the London gig (because I can't, and therefore it'd be unfair for him to go, and all that female logic bollocks) and to get the coach up to Manchester with me so we are most likely doing that :)

Don't be like that - some here never seem to sleep and we can waffle on/argue/talk crap for hours so go for your life fella'. Anyway - hello
x
-
heheh...thanks for the encouragement Anna, and thanks all for the welcomes...x

Hello,
I'm new here, it's my first post.
I'm from Estonia, have seen Army only 3 times - in Tallinn (1993), in Stoke On Trent and Helsinki (not sure about the years - 2006 and 2007 maybe). London gig will be my 4th - or maybe 5th - if I manage to come to Brighton as well.

Welcome Indrek.
Nice to know there is a good following in the Baltic region.
-
Welcome, Indrek! Post to us often!
-
Hello, Indrek!
Nice to see you here and I hope you enjoy the gigs! (I know you will, how could you not?? Haha) :D
-
Hey Indrek thanks for giving me a chance to welcome you! Good to have you here x
As for 'only' seeing NMA three times did you say? Well - you only really have to see 'em once - the experience will never leave your soul - it's a good thing. And all other times is just gluttony - me - I'm a glutton and I want to see 'em every day - but work, finances and a certain pragmatism for my own sepulchre of bone means i'll only see 'em once each tour and each one is very special, hope you enjoy London; and maybe Brighton.
As has been said to me recently - climb on board there's a comfy chair with your name on it x
Welcome brother.
-
A very warm welcome from me too, Indrek - great to have you on board.
Barty.
