Title: Top 40 return?
Post by: peternotbaldyet on September 13, 2013, 03:45:49 PM
I have a memory of seeing TIAGD on the UK indie top 40 chart. BDAW appears to be getting more coverage in traditional media and very good reviews at that. Are we going to see a return to the mainstream top 40?

The charts! I remember them! ;) ;)

It'd be nice but they're no reflection of decent music. Still, it would serve to spread the word to the uninitiated  :)

Good point. Personally I hope so. NMA  deserve more exposure and potential acclaim from it.

I suspect that the fact that we've all bought BDAW via the NMA website means that those sales won't count in the charts...

No matter.  In my hometown, there isn't a single place left to buy an album other than the likes of ASDA...

Bolton where I live only has X Records now. It's an independent. Ed played there 20 odd years ago to promote one of his lp's. I've never seen an NMA album in Asda or Tesco!!

In answer to my original question, yes we are! Well done chaps. Thoroughly deserved. Here's to No.1.

Is there an official album chart anymore?  I checked the BBC one and NMA were nowhere to be seen.

Don't know when the album chart is published. Doesn't seem to have happened yet. Does anyone know. And also the European charts?
