Title: The Pogues guitarist passed away

after months of struggling with decease, Philip Chevron, The Pogues guitar player passed away yesterday at 56.
R.I.P
Thanks for all that you have done for this band and for the fans

Such sad, sad news... one of my favourite bands ever...

It's very sad. Saw them at the Hacienda when Rum, Sodomy and the Lash came out. That was a proper party night!

that is a sad loss to music. 56 is too damn young. A least he had a wonderful ride on his life's journey

some special gigs in december are planned, they will play all songs of Rhum Sodomy and the lash
could be a great tribute

It's good to read these few respectful comments honouring the man's life.
Let me just add my name to the online bereavement card here - RIP Philip, and my condolences to any family and friends of his.
