Title: Ellie Cox for part II support!
Post by: Pazza on November 23, 2013, 01:58:18 PM
How good was Ellen Cox last night, not heard that level of whooping for a support act for NMA at recent shows, odd then that her only NMA support slot was for last night at Brighton. For me she fits with the outlook of the following and is a worthy and appropriate contender for a run at next year's inevitable (! hoping) BDAW part two run?? If you agree what about posting here or emailing the band.. If everyone who stepped forward to see Ellen's great set last night did so then maybe it might just happen  8)

I wasn't there for this gig, but saw Ellen at the Preston gig a few months ago. She's got a great sound and I'd love to see her support NMA again :)

Caught her slot in Brighton thought she was very good.
Made a change to hear something different from some of the crap that you hear supporting bands these days!

I agree completely. In my opinion, Ellen Cox blew the other UK support acts out of the water - would love to see her supporting NMA again next year.

Couldn't agree more. Seen her twice now and EPs have been on constant play since May. To get regular support slot on next years (please) dates makes sense really. At Brighton the crowd were actually listening and involved. not (m)any support bands can do that these days.

I also enjoyed Ellen Cox as support. She has a very positive relaxed stage persona and sounds great. A welcome relief from some of the supports who seem to think they have to switch up the volume louder than the main act. I would definitely enjoy hearing her again.

Yeah I enjoyed her as well, first time I have been there early enough to catch the support act this tour.  She reminded me of a female Gaz Brookfield who supported in Devises a few months ago, both young and confident on stage with lyrically great, catchy songs.  Definitely worth a revisit
