After-Show disco! Following the Rock City gig in Nottingham on 14.12.13 - Spanky van Dykes, less than 5 mins walk from Rock City. Until 2am. Punk, Indie, Alternative, Goth...you know the score!

Nice one Laurence. Thanks for arranging it for us. :). And considerably less than 5 mins walk, its just at the bottom of the street on the corner as you head back into town. You can't miss it, its painted purple. !!

thats great ,and with in walking distance of the premier inn im staying at even i wont get lost as there all on same road,i remember seein that spanky van dyke place when seeing new model army at nottingham last year. thats if i can get the nerve to walk in on my own as im quite nervy over going in places on my own n that :o

totally gutted now after working out my serious lack of money ,cant raise enough cash for train fares etc ,as every bit of spare money i have has to go to providing my six kids with christmas,so i wont be going to nottingham :'( :-\ :'(

The After-Gig Gathering on Saturday night is in the UPSTAIRS bar at Spanky Van Dykes - just a minute or 2 away down from Rock City - after the gig, until 2am.

Lawrence - I went to the gig but not the after show (had to drive home), but if it was anything like your other ones am sure it was good. Make sure you do the same on the next tour!

I second that. Lawrence, I questioned your choice of venue when you announced it, but I had not been upstairs in Spanky"s before. A great spot for it. Hope you can get it for next year. ;)

Thanks for all these comments. I also enjoyed it more than any other so far. It was great fun...and yes, they've actually already said they want us back next year (I bet they do).
Worth saying that the reason I started doing this (a couple of years ago in Manchester) was because the gig was an early finish and I thought it would be good to have something to do afterwards. As it was in Manchester, I was able to do it.
It went really well and it's how I got the Strummecamp gigs...but it also made me think it would be worthwhile doing more regularly. It's also resulted in me getting to know so many people that, even though I've been following the band since 1986, I didn't know before. What a fine bunch too!
These nights are just meant to be fun and Saturday night was all that! Looking forward to doing it again soon.
