Title: Worst and Best Xmas song
Post by: Shush on December 20, 2013, 01:05:28 PM: I have had a local radio station at work this week that plays older music. Some good old favourite xmas songs to build the spirit of the season have been heard. But also, they keep playing my least favourite of all time, Wombling Merry Christmas. Never like the Wombles, even when I was a kid in the 1970s.

Best - Driving Home for Christmas - Chris Rea

Best - Merry Xmas Everyone - Slade (never fails to raise the spirits!)

As an aside, I remember JS saying at a gig years ago that he wrote Heroes on Christmas Day....

Worst... well, I was in a fifteen-deep queue at a bookstore today and they were playing something called 'The Christmas Song' by Christina Aquilara... my God, that awful womans voice could pop the blood vessels in my brain... utterly horrible. I actually asked the girl at the till what it was so I could avoid it, forever!

Fairy tale of new york is not as bad as the majority but still crap. Last Christmas is by far the worst. I here that everywhere (in public areas ) and wish it would stop. To my disbelief and horror, I even heard it when i was in Athens.
