I used to go and watch the Levellers quite a bit 89-92 sort of time but drifted off as they got more popular. The odd occasion I've seen them recently, i've noticed how much of their set is still from the first 3 albums . Did they give up writing tunes in the mid 90s?

I agree, but why don't they play any of it? This is a pure nostalgia set akin to the Mission.
-
Don't have a problem with that... it's a support set, aimed at people who obviously there to see the main attraction, so they're gonna play the tunes that people know best...
I've seen The Levs three times in the last year or so and they played plenty of more recent stuff...
Reading those set lists, so jealous, my bezzie mate went to the Koln gig...

Yes they did, inbetween Riverflow and Liberty.
Great night, great city.

And sold out. That means 4000 crazy people :D :)

Had The Levellers first two albums and saw them at Glastonbury in 94 where they were brilliant. Don't know at they are like live now or what their last few albums have been like. Here is One Way from Glastonbury : - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mVvMopn2os

I only had the first two albums (Levellers) and then drifted away form them. Suppose I should try and catch up with them whilst I'm off work over Christmas :)
-
Dannysan, get hold of Mouth To Mouth, Zeitgeist, Letters From The Underground or Static On The Airwaves... so much good stuff awaits you...
Avoid 'Hello Pig' though.

Definately try to get hold of "Special Brew" - lots of brilliant stuff on that compilation that is nowhere else to be found.

Really wanted to go to that gig, my two favourite bands on the same night. Both brilliant live.
Very jealous of those who were lucky enough to be there.
