So glad I started this thread!
What a range of diverse bands we have here! I've never understood people who listen to one type of music... for me, that's like eating only one kind of food. There's so much out there that you can dig into and enjoy!
Sorta wishing I'd made it a top ten...
::)

I remember seeing the DK's in London in 1980. Great show and it was the first time I had seen bands getting spit on like that. That never seemed to catch on in the states.

wow, old skool.
I never got the spitting. was at a clash gig in Dublin in like 1984 or something and people spat on stummer and he just stopped. all sorts of unwanted germs. but jello; I reckon the germs were frightened to death hurtling through the air to land on him.
promise me one thing, don't mention GG
-
another 5,,,,,,Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Misunderstood, Die Kreuzen, Voivod, The Yardbirds.

My top five are as follows:
Mega City Four (who else)
The Mission (great live)
Stiff Little Fingers (JB and inspiration)
The Damned (New Rose - what else can I say!)
and

man, i couldn't help myself after mentioning him and started looking at some GG footage on the internet. i can safely say he's probably the only dead person i fear. shivers down my spine. so glad i never actually attended a gig or anything.

A great big BUMP!
Because (a) there are a lot of newcomers here, (b) there are a lot of 'oldies' who don't post much anymore and might get a 'response' thread' and be interested in rejoining 'us', (c) anyone who wants to rethink their original post and (d) because I'm really enjoying rooting around old threads and seeing old messages!
Yes, I have far too much time on my hands. ;) ;)
