I played this once with my collegues at work and it was a funny way to spend time at lazy days... It's like a similar cousin to Follow That topic but based in movies and their actors.
Rules:
1. First I mention a name of a movie
2. Second one tells another movie where's an actor who played a role also in former one.
3. Then it goes on and on. Just pick up some actor/actress and tell another movie name where he/she had a role...
If you want to drop a line or two what did you like about the movie and its highlights, please do.
But you don't have to had seen it.
EDIT: Yea, and please mention the actors name too, so we can find out the "path" you lead it to another movie.
- - - - - - - - - -
Ok, here we go:
Bladerunner
-
harrison ford - star wars
whats not to like about star wars?
-
Carrie Fischer - The Blues Brothers
Oh, Princess Leia akà C. Fischer was a sidekick in Blues Brothers. Had to check it from Imdb which is a good source of info btw... Mr. Ford is indeed a great actor too - good choice! And his career is a huge cauldron full of movies. :)
-
The Burbs - Tom Hanks
-
i was going to say cab calloway - the Cincinnati Kid
but since mr. hanks has been mentioned then you can never leave forrest gump off the page
-
OK, I'm a MASSIVE movie buff (subtext... total geek) so I'll play...
So the last post was Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump?
I give you Robin Wright, who was in FG and also in State Of Grace, a hugely under-rated 90's irish gangster film...
-
OK, I'm a MASSIVE movie buff (subtext... total geek) so I'll play...
Me to mate, as have discussed before . Are we having any other rules, like you have to have seen the film you follow with ? anyhow, from your Robin Wright,
Unbreakable - Bruce Willis
-
Me to mate, as have discussed before . Are we having any other rules, like you have to have seen the film you follow with ? anyhow, from your Robin Wright,
Well, how would you like it? That would sound reasonable, but I also think there's a bit more chance with most of us to continue if the puzzle is not too challenging. I'd say you don't have to have seen it.
Unbreakable - Bruce Willis
Samuel L. Jackson - Deep Blue Sea sharks... :(
Whoa Heno, Cab Calloway was a good idea...
-
Rusco, you posted the original message, you make the rules, mate!
Although I have to ask... if you find an actor for this thread, does it have to be a part they played in a former (earlier) or later film... or TV show?
Whatever, let battle commence... ;)
-
Fair point Rusco,, rules are for fools.
from Deep Blue Sea, Saffron Burrows,
Troy - Brian Cox
-
OK... from TROY, James Cosmo... TRAINSPOTTING...
-
Although I have to ask... if you find an actor for this thread, does it have to be a part they played in a former (earlier) or later film... or TV show?
Whatever, let battle commence... ;)
Yea, here's the way it should go:
-Shush put the film "Troy"
-next one should put a film where is/was some actor who ALSO had a role in Troy; like "Interview With A Vampire - Brad Pitt"
-then the next one remembers another actor who had a role in Interview With A Vampire - and put some other movie where that actor (like Master Ray) had a role (f.e. "The Family Story: Clogs and Bushy Beards On The Move - Master Ray") ;D
You can also choose same actor's another movie if you can't remember/don't know his other films.
Btw, the point about TV series is a good question: if you check Samuel L. Jackson`s page at IMDB you will find out from his portfolio there`s mentioned also series and even computer games where his voice is used with the characters. But you make the choice; if you lead the puzzle to a stage no one can't find "out" a way, it lessens our chance to continue the battle. ;)
- - - - - - -
Ok, please continue from James Cosmo and Trainspotting.
-
Ewan McGregor - Shallow Grave
-
Christopher Eccleston - DOCTOR WHO (yes I went for the TV option, but that opens it up so much...) :D

-
Black Adder... Miranda Richardson... The Crying Game...
-
Jim Broadbent - the gangs of New York

Fair play to ya' all, I rarely remember the names of films until I get 10 minutes in and think "oh, I've seen this". And as for actors and other stuff they've been in...........................
But I think you will find that Jim Broadbent appeared in the 1978 film The Life Story Of Baal as a Woodcutter :P
