Usually The Rose and Crown(sometimes known as The Nook),great pub,but not the biggest!,quite a few good pubs in Holmfirth.

Don't think we will be running out of places be good to know if anyone is aware of a decent curry house for a post gig ruby?

There's two on the main road behind the venue.   One I remember as being good (Massala something?) but it doesn't stay open that late (or maybe it will if you confirm a big party).   The other looks more like a takeaway but there is seating in the back.  The food there was acceptable but  it has no drinks licence - although you can take your own in.   I seem to remember the Picturedrome bar weren't too keen on selling carry outs but the other bar/hotel round the front was fine (though pricey).

More importantly, I wonder if the the last Thursday of the month in the Picturedrome  bar is still "free pie" night?

Missed the free pie, but the Nook was good pre gig
