After taking a look around, I've found a few cover versions, most of which are worth hearing again.
This is what I've found to date:
The Hunt Sepultura
The Hunt Rawside
The Hunt Misery
51st State Bloodjunkies
51st State Thee Flanders
Living in the Rose Scream Silence
Master Race Skyclad
White Light Pharoah
I LOve the World Anacrusis
Get Me Out Sapient Network
My Country Kara Cephe
No Greater Love (Unknown)
I don't know if there are more, I'd be interested to find out.

It's unbelievable how many covers there are on youtube across the spectrum of musical genres!
Just search "New Model Army Covers" for hours of entertainment and sometimes horror.
This was my personal fave That I have stumbled upon about a year ago. The artists is called E.M. Bodwick. Never heard of him but this a brilliant cover of "Love songs". It sounds a bit like Arcade Fire covering NMA and made my cry a bit.

There is also a decent electro-pop cover of "Vagabonds" by a French band called "La Fons". it sounds completely different but i like it. I imagine that is the most mainstream an NMA song will ever sound.

Peter from Vienna also lists some cover versions including mp3s. He hasn't updated his great site for 10 years, but the links still seem to work.

Ta! I'll check them out.
I didn't check Peter's site for cover versions - silly me :-[

The Hunt Misery
I think Misery are a band that should get more appreciation. Although they are very liked among the crustcore scene, their own "style" and own songs are quite anguished and very shady stuff and I think that's a reason why not so many here were into the cover song when they did it.

Another:
51st State (Live) Heinrich Beats The Drum
-
Toasting Cain.
The NMA tribute album.

I spotted that album on Soulseek, but the lack of an entry in discogs.com discouraged any further curiosity. It must be rather dodgy to not be worthy of a mention there!

Appreciated here, bought their debut album many years ago from Eastern Bloc in Manchester.
Rise of crust... ;)

Welcome back, Darkness! :)
PS. I'm still waiting for your answer regarding Civilised Society and Internal Autonomy. ;)
From your first NMA experience thread: [link] (http://board.newmodelarmy.org/index.php?topic=3742.238) message 238.
-
I never saw your question... :-[
Don't know about CIVILISED SOCIETY having loads of songs recorded before they split up. Certainly never released on record. 3 of the members went on to form KARRION after the singers left. 1 demo tape released.
Don't know anything about FUAL, a band I always meant to check out, but never did. INTERNAL AUTONOMY were awesome.
What other anarcho bands are you into?
-
Ok, sorry if this goes for a bit of off-topic now.
Well mostly older 80-90's era generation: One by One, Health Hazard, Generic (<- yea, Sned's bands or influence mainly) Scum of Toytown, Submission Hold, Black Kronstadt, Rubella Ballet, Dirt, Poison Girls, Sin Dios, CS?, Ripcord, Internal Autonomy, Dan, F.U.A.L., Sub-Hum-Ans, Schwartzeneggar, Crass, (Steve Ignorant bands in general), Infeckja, The Mob, etc. etc. I don't know could Vampire Rodents be pigeonholed under anarchobands in any way, but their song in Words of Warning (WOWlp1) comp. is great too. I've found their LP's difficult to find.
The Polish scene is/was quite huge and bands like Infeckja and Homomilitia are/were the most notable, but I personally prefer to Infeckja more than others. (They are so crazy.) In UK, Steve Ignorant's Schwartzeneggar was A DAMN great band too and it's a shame they quit up. Internal Autonomy/B.T.F split (only on cassette) is one of the best IA releases, I think. It's available in Youtube too if I remember right... Also I listen to quite a lot of old 80's authentic Brazilian thrash hardcore bands; Olho Seco, Armagedom, Colera and newer generation Disarm and Agrotoxico. ;)

I'm setting up a small recording facility for myself these days, just for acoustic guitar, vocals, ukulele and bass, nothing fancy, I just want to get myself going some way, brainstorming some new ideas and so... I've been working on my original songs for years and my debut album is still in post-production, for a while now... In the meantime I've been busy with my cover band, which is my main source of income, and some other projects... Anyway, I was just thinking of recording a few NMA covers to put on my soundcloud page, I've been playing them for years on my solo gigs... I thought I'd start with These Words, soon as I make it I'll post the link...
Over the years I played G&G, The Ballad of Bodmin Pill, Family Life, Higher Wall, Better Then Them...
Many years ago I even convinced my best friend, drummer, who is not a fan, to play Inheritance with me on a few gigs...

Is it me or PINK FLOYD and the great Davild Gilmour on guitar did a cover of "Higher wall" during this part of the superb "High hopes", the part between 2:50 and 3:40??:

Also, the cool Blues/Rock band LARKIN POE are doing lots of covers on their Youtube channel so who knows sooner or later they will cover NMA...when i met this band in Paris two years ago i gave them a cd of "Thunder and consolation" so i hope they will do sooner or later a cover of one of the tracks of this album! 8) 8)
