Guys, I feel like starting a new thread so here goes..., What was the number one single on the day you were born???
It's easy to look up on the whole internet thingy...
My best mate had 'Hey Jude' by the Beatles... cool, such a classic and fantastic tune. What did I get on the day that I was popped out into this craphole we call a world..?
'Two Little Boys' by Rolf Harris... so not only was my 'birthday' song a crap song, it's a crap song by an evil sex offender!!!
I think that God doesn't like me very much.
:o
;)

Baby Jump by Mungo Jerry for me. Damn, if I hung around for two days, I would have been "Hot Love - T-reX"
-
Funny enough....Mungo Jerry- In the Summertime

Wow, there was a song that was worse than my 'birthday song'... :o
Funny, I've seen Mr Dodd doing his comedy show at my local theatre a couple of times... bloody excellent.
Hopefully there won't be any new disclosures about him and 'kiddies'... I'm starting to get worried about watching anyone from UK 70's TV.. ???

Mine is horrific. It would be on the U.S. chart
"Don't Worry, Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin" ???
According to Google in the U.K. it was
"He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother - The Hollies"
Mainstream 1980's music was really,really,unbelievably crap. :o
Disclaimer This is not meant to offend anyone who likes this music nor insult their personal taste. It's merely a personal opinion. Apologies in advanced if you took it that way.

This is my song - Petula Clark ( don't know the song)

Having had the misfortune to grow up with 80's music, You're right. The majority of it was absolute guff.

I'm happy with mine:
Tommy James and The Shondells - Mony Mony (Guess that's the UK chart, not sure what the US was).
31-Jul-1968
And I like Don't Worry, Be Happy.

From reading this, I take it that I am one of the youngest here. :)
I must say, I am envious of people with all those classic 60's songs. Music was good at that time. ;D

Music was, indeed, good at that time.
My lovely little one year old niece has something called 'Need U (100 Percent) by Duke Dumont (feat A*M*E) as her chart number one, day-you-were-born song... WTF is that utter wank-heavy arsebollocks?
>:(

I haven't heard of that but I was tempted to look it up and had the misfortune of seeing a few seconds of the youtube video. It's horrible.
