Anyone seen this on BBC4? Pretty good show. Wasnt that much into a lot of goth rock but its pretty good. Couple of iffy bands on but worth a watch :)

Yeah, I saw it. Was quite good fun. Can't complain about seeing some Sisters, Fields of The Nephilim, Siouxsie, early Cult, Bauhaus etc on tv. Some of it was stretching the description 'Goth' a bit, but was a nice little nostalgia trip !

It was good to watch, made me feel old. But really, Shakespeares sister goth?
not sure !

really, Shakespeares sister goth?
Surely not?!! That's pushing things a little!

Is it a documentary or an ongoing show? It'll probably never air in the states.

Lovely trip down memory lane. Agree about previous comments re.Shakespeare's Sister and even worse Strawberry Switchblade as apart from a bit of backcombing and leather they were nothing to do with the scene and shouldn't have really been on it but otherwise very good programme. Would have been nice if they'd have used the old Whistle Test performance of the Sisters doing Marrianne but now I'm just getting greedy! Hope they do another show like it.

Enjoyed it and agree about Shakespeare's Sister and Strawberry Switchblade. Not heard that name since a certain Brockwell park gig when I was bowled over by a trio from Bradford. ;D.Where have all the years gone?
