Title: Vinyl of Eight, Carnival, High, TIAGD?
Post by: CousCousMcC on November 02, 2014, 04:47:49 PM
Were these ever released on LP? I recall Today is a Good Day may have been but I didn't get one. I own the rare Strange Brotherhood 3LP set but seems that is so rare it might be worth a pressing as well.  I wonder if there is ever a chance of reissue now that vinyl is having a resurgence.

TIAGD was released on a heavy vinyl double LP, for the others there are no vinyl releases.

If you don't know it already, take a look at John Relph's great site:

As far as I know, it's the most complete NMA discography on the internet.

Thanks for that link! Very helpful. I will keep an eye out for a TIAGD lp in case one turns up.

It seems like releasing all of these on LP would make some sense (and Navigating by the Stars too). Many artists have been catching up on the time between 1997 and 2007 when few titles were printed on LP. Nick Cave is rereleasing all those records - Abattoir Blues/Lyre of Orpheus, Dig Lazarus Dig!, etc.. It would be great to see NMA do the same.

A excellent idea I would love to have a few more lps on vinyl. Maybe after the new year would be best n maybe one lp at a time would give those of us a tight budget a chance to buy more. I suppose it all depends on numbers, don't know how many copies would need to be pressed.

Well Vengeance was re-released on excellent heavy vinyl last year so it could happen. Also the NMA shop unearthed a box of vinyl LOHC a while back (albeit like light weight original pressings not 180g re-issues).

Any news on this topic? I remember news when the turntable mats were first presented in the shop that they are checking to release the missing LPs. Would love it! And by the way, Lost Songs, B sides an abandoned tracks and the solo record from Justin is also worth thinking about.

got lots of stuff already also pretty rare but miss for sure stuff on vynils. do not care about the collectors paranoia too expensive and am not patient and have no money enough but love NMA in vynil especially 7", eps, rare editions with posters, etc
