Title: Qasr El Nil Bridge
Post by: Anna Woman von NRW on January 10, 2015, 08:17:15 PM
I love this song and had hoped to hear it at Nottingham. Obviously – I didn't  :( I've been wondering why, as far as I'm aware it's not been played live :-\

It might be for some personal reason the Chaps have in which case I don't need to know, but to my non muso trained ears I guess that one of the instruments/tracks/layers or whatever on the record can't be replicated live.

If that's the case, anyone care to suggest what it might be? I can't help, I haven't got a bloody clue   ;D

Agreed, my fave song from BDAW, was hoping that an influx of new musicians might have meant that we got to hear that one live...

Nottingham was amazing... but we live in the UK, we've got to find SOMETHING to be disappointed about...  ;)

Life is like a box of chocolates.. You never know etc etc.. Well for me while you can guesstimate some songs to be played, there will always be a surprise one.. I guess it will pop up somewhere and blow everyone away  :)

I actually asked JS in Greece if he would ever play this live. I don't remember his exact words but he said something along the lines of

'No, it would be too difficult to play live  and would not work ,especially the drum part, it would basically be a 7 minute drum solo."

I sort of suspected that answer before asking. But i hope that he can at least work at an acoustic version for the future.
