Title: Got some taste for drums after BDAW? Listen to this...
Post by: cthulhu on April 20, 2015, 09:04:18 PM
I want to share a new, wonderful discovery i made. Maybe some of you might like it.

The band is called wildbirds & peacedrums and i'm totally blown away by them.

A swedish band, spiritual, the music and the voice and performance of Mariam Wallentin and her husband gives me shivers.

Just got their latest LP and giving it a spin, so far so good, kind of like Neneh Cherry.

Thanks for the heads up.

Cheers

I'm glad that you like them! I have three albums: Heartcore, The Snake and Rhythm.
I heard "Mind Blues" from Rhythm on the radio and was immediately blown away and bought those. Then i watched some youtube vids. Shivers...goosebumbs...
Have you (both of you;-) seen the video about the ritual foe elephant and castle? What you think about that?

I don't know, but it all came to place for me to post this after seeing nma and 6 drummers doing vagabonds. And BDAW "sowieso" (german)

Drums & voice and passion.

I think they really would be a great supportive act for nma, though i don't know if the crowd could get it.

I just found out they play a jazz festival in germany in may, but i won't be able to go there.

How is Rhythm spinning up to now, jc?
