Nice pics, especially the first.

Didn't think I'm ever gonna complain about the cold weather again.
Thanks for that

The place is a fell of Ylläs we were skiing then.
The house is actually a pub and a pizza house residing at the highest location in Finland (718 meters). Lol, it's open although you can't see it here. While having pauses with skiing you could get inside, drink rum beverages and have a pizza in a warmth of a fire place. :)

Ok, three photos from past years. Reminding about a forthcoming beauty and wonderful richness of summer:

A work "Holy Marriage" from 2010 I've recently posted on to Printmaking community on Google+.
Check my tee... ;)

I did like those flower boots.
Is the wood still green when you carve or is it dried?
:)
-
It was half dried left over piece of aspen, layed in ground for couple of years. Then I finished it with tung oil and kept it in a storage for half year before taking outside.

Very nice pics. I want to visit Finland , now!

I add more photos. Here (https://plus.google.com/photos/115601359999616296200/albums/6148632504533923377). These are from town of Rusko, in Finland Proper, where we lived 5 years ago.

PS. If you scroll the photo to right you can see a huge oak. Approximately only 80 years old.

"Holy marriage" is a great image. If it were not for the NMA "T", you would assume it was 100 years old. I particularly like the fold lines on the wear to them to suggest age.
