Title: Today Is A Good Day... was yours? If so, post here! And why?
Post by: Master Ray on May 15, 2015, 09:22:43 PM
Had a bloody cracker of a day today...

Firstly, an early doctors appointment that confirmed that a health problem I was rather worried about (with potentially serious consequences... yeah, not a good idea to Google symptoms) is, in fact, a pretty minor thing...

Then, I had a big row with BT about my bill which they backed down on and agreed to delete those 'charges' from my bill... result!

Bought myself a jacket that I had my eye on, then found hugely reduced in a sale... yeah, I know I'm broke, but might as well go a bit more broke, eh?  Makes no difference at this point, quite frankly!

And went for an evening dinner date with my new work mates, who I haven't got much chance to get to know due to extreme busy-ness, and had a right bloody laugh with a terrific meal on top.

So, yeah, TODAY was a good day for me!  Post here, my friends, if you have a good day, for whatever reason!

 :D

Hopefully today will be a good day, back in my old town to see my kids, whom I no longer live with. :)

It was. I met a very cool new friend. She and I talked for hours. She is very good with horses and is going to teach me to ride bareback.  I also feel completely happy, calm and relaxed around this particular male horse. I have ridden western saddle a few times but never owned a horse. i am a highly stressed person and these people and horses made me feel so calm. It seems the longer I am in Europe and away from America, the calmer I become.

I get depressed because the culture is too much for me. Forced over time, working sick with a fever and being threatened to be fired if I do not... is too much.

May I reply even though it wasn't a good day?

It wasn't. Our bank has treated us in a confusing and gross way. We've never had problems with our loans and now it seems they've turned their backs on us right before we're having a big renovation.  >:( :(

I hope I'm not on strike as I'm one of those that have been told by our union that we're going out for 24 hours from 5 pm Monday 25th to 5pm Tuesday 26th

They (RMT and Network Rail) have been meeting today in order to sort a decent pay deal for us

Often when a shirt doesny fit or is ripped beyond wear I have cut the image out and sewn it onto a plain Tee shirt.  ;)

I like to frame my old t shirts if they have a good image or just pin them to the bedroom wall like a poster I have a strange brotherhood t shirt and a logo t shirt think it had dead men don't bite on the back currently on my wall

Trying to pump some life into this somewhat moribund Forum.... what happened today to make you say 'yeah, Today was a good day...'    ???

Started sorting through the house before we move and was doing all the old toot in the attic. Found loads of old gig tickets in one box. Ah the memories of youth  ;D. Or perhaps lack of memory is more appropriate cos I don't remember half of 'em - seems I saw Ozric Tentacles quite a few times but I think I can understand why I don't remember those gigs  ;)

E-mailed a couple of tattoo designs I would like, 1 nma ( logo) 1 hr giger ( birth machine) to Terry's tattoo studio Glasgow , definitely the best known tattoo studio in Scotland n one of the oldest established and still one of best.
So hopefully the start of something good. Yes a trip to Joolz in Bradford would have been good but time and money don't make that possible

Anyway will today be a good day, fck knows , certainly historic that's for sure, only time will tell. I'm genuinely shocked at the decision. Those a wise women told me the silent majority were for out.

I don't know how to post pics, if you pm me your email I will send you some or my email is on my profile
I don't have a arachnid collecting hobby, I just like collecting what I consider to be cool and different. Love wooden carved things especially tribal masks, into hr giger, some skulls real n fake, a bit of taxidermy would like a bit more, anything that catches my eye basically at a price I can afford, gargoyles , Chinese figures, anatomy charts  have a couple of Victorian mirrors inc a really big over mantle one, I even like Ganesh n Kali. My house is full of stuff but in a good and fairly organized way

I don't know how to post pictures, don't think I can with the phone.
Any how got the tattoos done, a nma logo on my chest black letters with a red background, right forearm hr giger birth machine figure, very happy with both of them especially the giger , took about 5 hours to get both done, don't feel too bad just now. Think this could be the start of another tattoo addiction lol

Luckily tattoos only take a couple of weeks to heal now instead of about 6 back in the day. Got special tattoo balm to put on it, the guy gave me a wee tin for free. Hate the itchy stage though.

Well my tatto is properly scabby and flaky today.  Funny thing is though, it doesn't itch.  I'm wondering if the new balm is magic?  How are you getting on with yours, Pol?

I'm still sore, finding it a bit awkward having a sore right arm and a sore left side of my chest. The one on my chest is definitely more scabby than my arm though its basically a solid block of colour  , only hints of being itchy but definitely a bit early for that for me. Best thing to do when itchy is scratch somewhere else lol

My tattoo is looking beautiful; it's nearly healed already.  I'm so happy with it.
Just a word of warning Pol- last night I put my little tin of balm in my pocket to warm it up, then opened it up and it had melted completely; poured it all over my clothes.  That was before I got drunk  ;)

I've still got light scabbing on my giger design a bit heavier on the black areas, the nma logo is still fairly crusty lol, getting some heavy needs to scratch moments, doing well to resist

Today is a good day for me because (if all goes well and there isn't another last minute cancellation) it's the last day that I'll have an inguinal hernia.  Due to go under the knife tomorrow afternoon and am looking forward to my gentleman's area being pain-free after so long.

Very nervous about the general anaesthetic, though.

Well maybe  ? - Ordered a new vape mod from china on the 18th June n after a few weeks of waiting and checking the dispatch tracking ( that was never updated) I get pissed off and contact them, they tell me wait till the 20th July and contact us . So the day comes n it's still not here and they give me a full refund that's paid into my bank via PayPal. So today arrives and the yodel man arrives at the door with a parcel. I open n its the mod I ordered some nearly six weeks ago now. Not sure what happens now, if they want it back there gonna have to contact me and pay for the post. Me I'm keeping quiet n hoping for the best.

Just checking in, it's been a while.  This has been a good fortnight; begun by a great date, WOMAD festival and now I'm on a plane going to meet my boy on holiday with his dad.

Logged into the board for the first time for awhile and it's had a very nice facelift - really like it.

Gave a guy who I've never met before some good e cig advice today at the train station, he asked if they work, told him how I had been a smoker for 35 years n how I've not had a cig in 20 months, told him to go into a e cig shop when he got to Glasgow ( even recommend him one n told him where it was)and tell the staff how much he smoked n they would sort him out. Hope he manages to quit. Even gave him a go on my peach n vanilla ice cream flavour lol

I spent an amazing day and part of the evening (until 21.30 when she went to bed after story and song for sure.....) with my daughter Maya.
she not only incredible in general  but she even loves NMA and rock and punk in general at 4yo.
and she does not stop wearing her 7 times sun 7 times rain t shirt even i it s becoming too small (unfortunately children t shirts cost the same as adults..........)

Crepes & burritos in Johannes Markt, Ice creams by the river, shopping at Primark, sun in Saarbrucken. Topped off by my son getting himself a degree level apprenticeship. He's had a difficult few years what with one thing and another but he's done himself proud with this  :)

Nice one Anna , excellent to hear your son is doing well.
Took the money out my "piggy bank" into the bank today, they have a coin machine which makes life so much easier . Result  !  Just over £220 , time to start refilling again  :D

I also do that, got a big tin box that a 1lrs bottle of JD came in, fill it with anything under 20p every day, resulted in nearly £90 last time I used one of those machines!
