Title: Give NMA a beter pay check than Spotify !
Post by: Zwartekster on June 25, 2015, 01:16:00 PM
Just in a Belgian newspaper: a site that gives bands more money than Spotify: eternify.it!
http://eternify.it/#new-model-army.

Write new model army and every 30s, they earn the lousy Spotify amount ($0.005) ;D
You can let it play the whole day in mute.

Regards

Gotta ask, how legit is that site?  Not disputing what you're saying (and after very rough calculations, I make it about £10 a day to the band if you leave your computer running 24 / 7)...

Alternatively, you could just buy their music directly from The Shop and have a permanent hard copy with all that lovely artwork and stuff...

 ???

Spotify has already reacted: Eternify is off  :'(

I'm surprised about the replies    :-[

- it's not meant to be a substitution of gigs, albums ... only an extra support.
- "... if it's legal"... -> politicians, bankers, ... are only doing legal work too (maybe in the UK yes).
- electricity... -> do it at your work: so a multinational does support critical artists without knowing.
Let's use there weapons  ;D

But maybe NMA can make a 30 seconds song ;-)

Have beautiful days !

Z, no disrespect was meant in those responses, pal...

'If it's legal'... wasn't saying it wasn't, but this is the internet and there are a lot of dodgy sites out there!  Just wanted some confirmation...

As to the electricity thing and doing it at work... I can't leave my computer running 24/7 on a site I know nothing about when I work in, shall we say, 'sensitive issues' nowadays! I'd get sacked and vulnerable people might be put at risk!

Again, if you want to support NMA, get to the Shop, eh?
