Anyone out watching it today or tomorrow
Taking off from Finningley (Doncaster) at 13:00 today
I'm hoping it will be flying over my house soon, then I'll be heading to Newark and tomorrow I'll go to Cleethorpes
Such a shame this year will be the last year you'll see her in the skies above :'( :'(
Details of both days flights here:

The Vulcan is an amazing aircraft. Very glad it never got used for what it was made for.

I watched a Vulcan do a scramble take off at an airshow once back in the day - one of the most awesome things I have ever seen/felt - your chest pounds harder than standing next to a massive bass speaker!
I remember that they were used in the Falklands to bomb Port Stanley airport and the perception was that they had missed because they runway wasn't destroyed but in actual fact it was precision because they wanted to be able to reinstate the runway quickly once the islands were back under British control.
A beautiful aircraft

I've heard, sadly, that this year will be the Vulcan's last year flying.
-
Having lived in Leicestershire for a time we were lucky enough to have it overhead quite regularly when it was based at Bruntingthorpe!
I remember it flying over one evening when we had people round and everybody ducking as it went overhead!
I also used to run courses at a holiday camp in Blackpool out of season and
there used to be a decommisioned Vulcan outsIde the airport that was next door!
