Nice set to a small enthusiastic crowd and a number of chatters
A brand new song was given it's debut covering the same subject matter as Another Imperial Day and Higher Wall
I'll try and remember the full set and get it written down.

I love how JS so often sings about how unethical the anti-immigration world of today really is.
It's great to hear that he is on that subject again.

Can't imagine why that old chestnut would still be an issue ...................  :P Did it have a name or just get played?

Not sure about its name. JS did mention a title after the gig but I've had a Jelly Head moment.

According to the setlist that Jason put up, it was called Hold On.

Oh, that one was played in Kidderminster last year.  I know that one but it was nothing like "Another Imperial Day"

Unless there is another new song.

Same SUBJECT MATTER - not sound.

And yes - another new song, not Hold On (or whatever it's called)  :)

The version of HOLD ON, was much more epic sounding than at Kidderminster.
On the recording last weekend it has a fantastic epic build to Justin roaring for us to 'hold on'
Pretty rousing stuff.

Hold on was played immediately after the new "New Song"!

COTL and BIGO were new abbreviations for me. Had to consult the lyrics page!

Very pleased to see Hold On in the set. I saw him play it at Hebden Bridge last year and thought it had the makings of something great about it. Had it stuck in my head for some time after.

Gotta agree with TXP - Hold On does sound like an evolving epic, might be my unreliable memory but certainly sounds "bigger" than at Hebden.  :)

OK... might feel a bit unfulfilled if I don't hear this tune... but that's rubbish.  So... if I don't hear this tune, I will punch myself (lightly) in the dick repeatedly until... well, I get a bit bored.

Now I`m sure I`m getting old  :(
Missed that vid / song `till today
Hold On sounds as a RSC song I`ve heard before (when I was young), but the lyrics are new (or I don`t remember the words)  >:(
Thanks for posting

And now I want a link to the new one  ;D

Lyrics of that song - would someone be so kind to post a link or to post an own version (done after listening) here?

Hope it's ok to do this what with it not being released and stuff........... but Lotus asked and that link has been on youtube for months.

Lotus - trust it was this one:

We watched her as she faded awy back down through 30,000 days like a river flowing backwards or upstream.  To the source of everything.

How we clutch onto that thread brought with us to find our way through all the darkness ahead.
How everything new reminds us of things left far behind us

Hold on to the beginning (x4)

The cities have been all inflamed, that summer when everything we knew had changed. We were heading home from a great gathering. The boys on the top of the bus, gave us their badges, like an allegiance or trust. A souvenir.

You found them where you stashed them away for a moment like today

To hold on to the beginning

Hold on to the beginning. (x 3)

I climbed up to the view the broken hills stretch away on line on line of fade blue.

So we all clutch onto the thread, brought with us to find a way back.

So hold on to the beginning

Hold on to the beginning (x3)

I take no responsibilty for grammar and what have you.I wouldn't have a clue what was going n if that was in German  :-*

Many thanks, Anna  :)
If you are interested in a translation (and perhaps something to laugh), test ImTranslator (4 different translator in one programm - and you get 4 different translations - and don`t try to retranslate that results) ;D  ;D
