Title: Song locations
Post by: Unruh on September 11, 2015, 11:02:15 AM
I'm interested to hear some details about the specific places NMA have written about. I've looked them all up on Google but precious little is written about them except for where they're located physically. I'd love to hear from some people who have actually seen or lived in Archway Towers or walked on Carlisle Road or been to Bowdin Pill. What's the atmosphere of those places like ? I know it's obvious none of them are tourist destinations but I'd love to hear from any out there who have actually been to, and sucked up the vibe, of these places.

Archway towers was DHSS building in North London hence the lyrics of the song.
Dhss ( department of health and social security) is basically where you went if you were unemployed to get money.
There are probably quite a few Carlisle roads in the UK , I suspect that there is one in Bradford or close

Would be nice to meet you too.  I have to admit I wanted to go to Nottingham too but the rest of our group was on behalf of Manc as flights go faster there than Notts.

Hey, I checked the link I put earlier to CS song and found it really was a demo tape or whatever. I was listening to the album version anyway. :)

Here's the original (https://www.google.fi/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DiwJNfdb7byc&ved=0CBsQFjABahUKEwiuk-7KwPLHAhUFlCwKHYNODf8&usg=AFQjCNHbS_kqbHtrvKff25otLj2z0bW1zg) from a compilation.

Edit: wrong thread. Mesa donkey.  :-[
