I dreamt of potatoes last night and the influence they will have on the Premiership winners.

Potatoes are a pleasant subject.
I concur. But I never realised the influence they had on football until last night

I dream vividly, pretty much every night and in very weird, intricate details!  Apparently, it may be a side result of the meds I'm still on after recent heath problems.  Personally, I quite like waking up with all this stuff spinning around in my head, it's far more interesting than my waking life!  Although many of those same memories usually drift away like smoke in the wind by lunchtime...  ;D

Still wondering about what last nights big dream meant...   ::)

Sorry about your mother-in-law witch.  Hope the healing starts soon.

As far as dreams go, I seldom dream (or wake with any recollection of dreaming).

Sometimes a dream was so realistic, it's with me for days. Also I can wake, go for a pee, get back into bed at a completely different angle, then when I awake again the same dream had continued.

if you look at all the information taken in and processed by the brain you will see that your concious mind is only actively processing about 0.5% of it at any one time. the rest is being processed/stored for process by your subconcious mind.some of it may be brought to concious process as its relevance is discovered and a lot of it then stord or dipensed of. this still leaves a lot of potentially relevant /useful info unsorted  in your subconcious. one of the functions of dreams is the subconcious mind sorting through this huge miscellania of info and clearing a lot of it. as this is your subconcious  mind sifting through info that hant been logically or conciously llnked it is a very non-sequitar process and when we remember dreams it is our (almost) concious mind attempting to make sense of this gibberish. thats what my psychology professor taught us.

Had a terrible dream last night. Dreamt I was playing bass for The Meteors and P Paul Fenech wanted me to prove my commitment by shoving a rusty bent old Meteors badge through my nipple. Next he's got my nipple in a pair of pliers whilst someone else was shoving metal skewers through my side and someone else was tattooing me.
Then I was playing a song with them at a gig and Fenech didn't think I played it very well and so he was having a go at me while scratching my bass head stock while all these other people were trying to nick my stuff. Woke up covered in sweat and thinking what the fck was going on.
I wonder if it goes back to two Meteors gigs I went to in the 80s when I spent most of the time worrying if I was going to get home safely after being abused by some of the lovely fans that follow said group and some of my mates being threatened/attacked for no reason at all.
The land of dreams is a strange old place.

I once dreamt that I was the new bass player in NMA... and it was only when we were all stood in front of a big crowd that I (and the rest of the band, apparently) figured out that I didn't really know how to play the bass...

I had a dream last night about one of the young people I teach, who has very limited verbal communication; in it he (somehow) told me that he didn't speak because nobody had ever asked him to.  Following this he chattered away for the remainder of the dream.

No idea what that was about.

This is exactly how I recall Meteors gigs. Are you sure it was a dream?

sounds like some of the conversations that people have had with children with ASD who start speaking very fluently. When asked why, they reply that they hadn't had anything to say, or that they were busy thinking.

A far more thought provoking dream than mine; I rarely remember but last night's involved me realising I'd killed someone and working out whether I could get away with it

Nah,  Never hit Nick Kent, self-harmed or killed my girlfriend.  And I used to play some very rudimentary bass back in the 90's... put it like this, I could play quite a few early Clash songs, which is more than that Vicious tosser could ever manage!

That has happened to me in real life with a 5 year old "selective mute".

One day I know my life will change. I've had one major breakdown already as some of you know.

At 45 the possibilities should be endless.

But no. I still have the same dreams. Parents (both dead) telling me what to do. Exes doing the same.

Fucked up dreams that stay and usually go. The ones that linger are the ones that mirror reality. Not represent it.

Dreading going to bed now!

Was online and one the left side of the monitor there I saw the new tour dates of nma in balloons going up and down and one was: Kiel - 23.12.2016
Woke up today some seconds later and thought: that can`t be, what a dream, never .... :(
