Well, I live in Lincoln and I've  been giving it some thought.  There is the The Treaty of Commerce, a Batemans pub, which is on the High Street but very close to the Engine Shed. There's the The Cardinal's Hat, for the CAMERA  officiandos again on the High Street  but going towards Steep Hill, there is the Square Sail (Wetherspoons) on the Brayford  Pool  opposite the Engine Shed. All good for different reasons. I think the question is where do we go for the after gig. I'll do some investigation and post nearer the time ☺

In terms of decent curry houses, they're are two on the High Street, the Royal Tandoori and further down is the Castlegate which is better one of the two. ☺

turns out the last train from lincoln to leicester  at 22:26 takes 7 1/2  hours as it is actually the last train to nottingham......where its a 6 hour wait for the next days first train to leicester. why the **** isnt it clearer?  national express is even more bloody useless with a one-a-day each way service.  add to that the less than certain public transport times coming back from holmfirth and it looks like two long cold nights dossing on the  streets. :o

....it'll be just like the old days. ::) ;) ;D

Midlands transport should be better than you think by definition. But everything ceases after the shops shut!

its going to be last train to nottingham then national express to leicester, so at least i only have to doss out in huddersfield for the night. i maxed out my credit card for these tickets so i'm fucked if i'm missing either gig.
