Winter... wasn't that an album by Nozzle?
Good evocative title I guess.
-
Looks like a powerful pack the tee + new album. What a fantastic cover art too. The name for the album, things that a theme brings to my mind and all the mythical meanings the image of a bird will bring...wow.
I see the front main page of NMA home is updated too. Good idea, it's like an add for the new forthcoming album!
Cheers, welcome Mattias.

Agreed, terrific cover, and I'm liking the amendment to the homepage...
Also, welcome Mattius, please post often!
-
Maybe the forum profile will follow suit.
Howdy Mattius :)

Winter is coming. Does NMA watches Game of Thrones?
I seems to me there are similarities: the theme, the black bird...
But for me it reflects the turmoil in the world.
Fascism is on its way up in a different coat of religion.
Great title and artwork. Very curious to hear the album.
-
Yes, love the title and the artwork which is simply outstanding.
Very high expectations...
-
It is going to be "aggressive and raw"! Already like it!!!!
-
Are you still hoping NMA will morph into Killing Joke, ldopas? ;)

That should be interesting as I also love Killing Joke! ::)

Wow it's ******* brilliant. How the **** do they do it?????

happy about the new album. and hope to see the giuys soon on the road again.......................

Was intrigued by the "age of consequences" line, so had a google around, expecting to find it as a line from Blake or similar... but all I found was a documentary on how the US Department of Defense (!!!?!) is now factoring in Climate Change as a significant contributor to the problems of the world. Food and Water shortages will increase migration, which in turn triggers terrorism, escalating international conflict, and so on.

The film had a premiere at a festival - Sheffield Doc Fest 2016, back in June. Spookily close to Bradford. Although that's pretty recent, it's been in production for a while, on a kickstarter type basis. Coincidence...?
Am trying to find out how to get hold of it in the UK, but no joy yet.
-
I'll tell you what is a coincidence, that film is made by Jared who toured with our Boys as part of the band Demander.
Cheers

I remember Demander, they were somewhat good!

Absolutely not! We don't want to lose one of them now do we. Anyway NMA have some way to go to sound like KJ on Pylon!

I really need to check out Pylon, a mate of mine is always going on about it!
Come to think of it, I need to check out more recent KJ stuff, full stop... think the album I bought was 'Killing Joke' in 2003... :-\
-
I rather enjoy the last five of theirs. So yes, you really should update your collection!
-
I'm having my first appointment with Winter, I'm at the song itself, which I know pretty well by now. Far as I can hear this will turn to be one of my favourite NMA albums so far, I love the sound, I love the songs and lyrics, it's fantastic!
-
So Winter finally made it to Scotland (a day early to be fair) . She certainly looks beautiful, will comment further after a couple of weeks of listening. Glad I went for the double gatefold vinyl n a massive thanks to nma for the signed copy.
-
I'm usually slow on the uptake on new cd's. I've had it playing the whole day while working from home. So didn't really lĂsten to it, but did hear it quite often. It'll need time to grow on me.

Bought it today in HMV.
:)
-
Empty letterbox today :(
Perhaps tomorrow for german fans?
Not shure I can resist to buy one or two songs as a download before monday on saturday evening without having my ordered version :-\
-
My ordered version is in the mail... there is always... ways... to still be able to listen to the album though.

HMV... is that one of those lost and fabled things called 'a record store' ???
I seem to remember that my hometown once had four of them... I think so, anyway, it seems like a product of a far-gone era... :o
-
Can remember not so long ago there was 3 hmv stores in Glasgow city centre, now there is only one, not a shop I bother with much , much prefer missing records a proper second hand shop . Last time I bought a nma cd from hmv was when I wasn't even allowed a debit card ( maybe wasn't a bad thing lol)

Oh yeah.
The one in town did shut down when they shut all the high street shops but opened up again in the same shop a year or so after.
:)

Many thanks to the NMA shop de luxe service :D
First run - wow !!! Great !! Heavy stuff! Will stick for some weeks in my car player
None of the songs remind me of other songs,
none I have problems with liking, like them all without having a special favourite one
Each one will grow with some more listenings (and knowing the lyrics) - and the upcoming live version of the tour will be very interesting
(Has someone some spare tickets for Hamburg??)
-
just heard the songs of the A side. great as always
and usually the songs of every album grow in me after a few listen.....it has always ben like this.
