Title: Midnight Oil World Tour

Anyone here into Midnight Oil? I always felt that they shared some common ground with NMA.

Anyway they will be touring this year for the first time in 20 years. The OZ outback shows will be amazing.

They are playing rather small venues. I am going to try to get tickets, but won't be easy.

Hoping to get a tkt for the London gig pity they are only doing the one uk date Glasgow and Manchester would have been great

Yes, I was surprised by how small the venues in Europe and the States are especially considering the places they play in Oz. I managed to get a ticket for Oslo as I will be in Norway then. The NZ shows will be great but I would love to do one the Australian Dates.

The London show should be a lot of fun, too.

Yep, coming to Washington DC. Saw them here on their last two U.S. tours. Two of the best shows I've ever seen. Tickets go on sale tomorrow!

Got the tickets! Saw them twice before. Once 1990 and once 1994. Been quite a while :)

I'm a big fan,so them a few years ago at an Aussie festival in London,could be very tempted with the Amsterdam gig.

You'd better hurry. Looks like Amsterdam is sold out now. There are still some tickets for Cologne and also the added London date and some other European dates. The US and Oz dates sold out in minutes.

I'm super excited to see them again after over 20 years.

I have got tickets for the second of the London shows. They are one of the best live bands that I have ever seen, roll on July.

I know only "Diesel and dust" and "blue sky mining" and i like some of their songs...which others Midnight Oil albums would you recommend?

I saw them in Oslo two weeks ago and they were fantastic. Will get to see them again in Auckland in September. They are also returning to teh States in August for a string of larger shows.

If you like Diesel and Dust and Blue Sky Mining then I would recommend Earth and Sun and Moon as it's in a similar vein and contains many great tunes. Redneck Wonderland is a personal favourite but people are quite devided over it.

Hard to say which albums I like best but Earth and Sun and Moon, Redneck Wonderland, 10-1 and Diesel and Dust are right up there. Red Sails has some of my favourite songs on it but I don't think it sits well together as an album and the production makes it sound dated in places.

Midnight Oil have just announced a string of European shows next June/July.

Small venues so get in quick if you're interested.

Just giving this a bump as Midnight Oil will be playing a string of Euro shows starting next week, including Dublin, Manchester and London and quite a few German dates. I'll be seeing them in Hamburg. They're a fantastic live-band.

Did anyone catch any of the shows so far. Saw them in Hamburg on Monday and they were fantastic!

If you're unsure abouyt Midnight Oil, there is a lot more to them than Beds Are Burning.
