Slightly off topic - I went to the first Beautiful Days festy in..2003?..i think it was. It really stands out as one of the most positive fest experiences I've ever had and I've had many. Beautiful location, easily accessible and small enough to see almost everything. Great line-ups and hardly any wankers (there's always a couple!). I didn't have kids at the time and I think mine are at the age now where they wouldn't want to go with me but its defo one of the most kid friendly sites whilst still maintaining its adult appeal. I really must go back!

Would love to get there some time, but it a 8/9 hour train journey each way.  Shame the wicker man isn't happening anymore.

It was a 5 hour boat journey then a further 6 or so hours by train for me. Finally the hour or so on the coach they provided from Exeter to the site (which was great fun). Pretty mammoth really but I'd go again in a heart beat. What I remember distinctly from the first one was that there was another festival happening up the road which all the kids in the know were heading to. Shambala or something similar.
