And a very civilised way to spend the afternoon it is, when it is just me in the office.

It may be weeing down in the West Midlands, but Wilf, who is there in person, tells me that it is 35 in the shade over there.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!   :'(

I'm just getting in from work.  Please let me know exactly what they played?    :'(

According to Setlist.fm (https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/new-model-army/2019/pannonia-fields-ii-nickelsdorf-austria-3b91e4f8.html), they only played 8 songs?  Really?

 1.  Stormclouds
 2.  Winter
 3.  Here Comes the War
 4.  Between Dog and Wolf
 5.  Angry Planet
 6.  Born Feral
 7.  Wonderful Way to Go
 8.  I Love the World

That just doesn't look / sound correct.  Can anyone in the know, please pop in here and set the record straight.   :'(

hmmm. Might very well be correct, according to youtube link, NMA's set was only 45minutes long (16:55 to 17:40)… someone please correct, confirm or deny, all or any part of the above?   :'(

Good morning Witch.  :)
Were you at the concert?  ???

As for the live chat on the streaming site...
Who gives a shit about what others think, we know who we all love and why... and that's all that fcukin' really matters.  8)
Title: OMG! The stream is still working, HOURS after NMA's set was finished.
Post by: 8 on June 15, 2019, 04:28:20 AM
For some odd reason, the stream is still working :o  HOURS after NMA finished playing their set.   :D
It's 12:20am EST, Saturday the 15th, where I am.  Thank YOU  MARKXE, witch and everybody!   :D
I'm off to heaven  8)  for 3/4 of an hour, at least...  YES!!!    :D
Title: NMA Rocked Austria at Nova Rock - June 14th 2019
Post by: 8 on June 15, 2019, 05:56:03 AM
Oooh, that hit the spot!   8)

Not sure why the stream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZe-Wx_86lw was still working, but fcuk am I ever ecstatic that it was.  :D

For the record, that list up at Setlist.fm, was indeed correct.  :)

Man, their gigs are always over in a blinding flash.  That's it for NMA gigs, until August 18th... but that's over TWO whole months away, though!   :'(

That said, by then, it would only be 5 days before 'From Here' officially drops... wonder if they'll slip in another new tune or 2 at that August 18th gig in Belgium.   ???

Oh, wait, it's another festival gig,  :-\  perhaps not then.  I've noticed they tend to play more of the older songs at festival gigs.  Either way it's all great = NMA.  :)
Title: It's 4 o'clock in the morning EST & Nova Rock live stream link is still working!

Title: NMA were going to play a 9-song set at Nova Rock Fest, but one song got cut...
Post by: 8 on June 15, 2019, 09:45:20 AM
Thought it was my end, but the audio portion of the live stream got badly messed up during 'Between Dog and Wolf'.  Also, it appears that NMA were aiming to play a 9-song set.  Can't make it out, for certain, as I'm watching it on a laptop (third time now), but looks as though 'Purity' might've been the song that wasn't played.  Anyone able to confirm or deny?  Um, I don't suppose anyone floating here has a gigantic smart TV?  If so, YOU might have better luck sussing out hose posted setlists with a screen that big.  It'd just be interesting to find out what song it actually was,  :-\  that's all.  If anyone here knows which song got cut from the setlist, please, tell us?  ???
Title: POOF! And just like that, the Nova Rock stream is GONE !!
Post by: 8 on June 15, 2019, 12:48:11 PM
Fcukin' ell, that was fast!  >:(  The user took the stream down, sometime during the seventh hour, my time (eastern standard time).  Something tells me that I was able to see it, well after the fact, only by fluke 'n error.  :-[  Honestly, great luck like that doesn't happen to me.  Relieved I managed to take it in three times!  I had a feeling, it wasn't going to last.  So I tried to absorb as much of NMA's set as my memory would allow.  :'(

Still don't understand how live streaming works on youtube.  There have been SO many NMA gigs that have claimed to have had a live stream link, but they never seemed to work when I would try to view them.  I have no clue as to what I am doing incorrectly.  So it was like striking oil or gold, when I found myself able to actually watch this particular NMA gig and, be able to watch it SO many, many hours after NMA had already finished playing their set.   It had to be some kind of glitch, surely.

Seriously, can't thank you enough for posting about the live stream, MARKXE.  I owe you one!  Cheers!  :)

It was indeed Purity that was sacrificed from the list.

I do have a picture (thanks Wilf) as proof, but posting it is so far beyond my IT capabilities as to make even an attempt, totally futile.

As Adrian says, I was there and the whole set only lasted for 40 minutes (cracking though it was; how often do you hear War and Angry Planet in the same show?). NMA started 10 minutes late (maybe because Mother's Cake overran their allotted time, but not sure) and consequently had to drop Purity from the setlist.

Nice piece of irony from Justin: "It is hot and therefore we'll play you this:" Winter!

Later in the evening The Cure played an absolute blinder.
Title: Purity... it was then.

Cheers Adrian W and Wilf for jumping in here with all that, much appreciated.  :D

Ahhh, leave it to JS to always go and do the complete opposite.  soft sweet lol.  8)

Later in the evening The Cure played an absolute blinder.

Yeah, I was watching the live stream and wanted to make sure I got my ultimate fill of NMA before even daring to watch another band's set.  By the time I was ready for The Cure's set, they'd already, permanently yanked the entire stream off youtube.  That's ok.  I'm sure The Cure's performance will surface at some point down the road, somebody's bound to have captured their set's stream.  Love Bob and co. too, but I love all things NMA/JS far more.  I just had a feeling that if I missed NMA's set, there wouldn't be another chance... there are fewer of us fans, than there are Cure fans out there in the world.  Sometime this proves to be a blessing and other times not so much.

Sad but true, I'd weep like a little girl (and actually have - June 1993!!!) if I missed an NMA/JS gig or performance that was somehow within reach, but I wouldn't cry over one of The Cure... and I do follow their work closely as well.  NMA/JS' works just resonate... touch and move me deeper.  Actually, they're the ONLY reason why I am even online, period.  I don't want to miss anything, if I can help it.  I missed far too much in my youth, and I'm still playing catch-up.

When  NMA/JS get up there, on stage, they're bearing their souls.  They might as well be physically naked sometimes, seriously, 'cause that's just how deep the dive into it, how far they open themselves up, for us all.  That takes some fcukin' guts, nerves of steel.  I respect them truly, madly, deeply, for sacrificing some sacred deep-rooted, personal part of themselves, in that way.  In exorcising their demons, they purify their audience.  When they give, they GIVE, and give their all.  You get the feels from 'em, their works, performances.  For me, that's an incredibly big deal.  That's exactly why I love them, treasure and cherish them.  NMA/JS are my kind of band/artist.  Whether seen or unseen, I am a lifer.  Hell, love or high water, I'm in for the long haul.  x

Later in the evening The Cure played an absolute blinder.

I saw them in Dublin two weeks ago. They really are in top form at the moment. Great set and performance.

The Nova Rock Cure show is on YouTube, btw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xAowf8goN8
Title: So, anyone capture NMA's set's live stream at Nova Rock? Please post a link?

I knew someone would capture the Cure's set's live stream!  If only we had tech savvy folk in our midst that could capture NMA video-feed sets - that'd be fcukin' ACE!!!   8)   Really enjoyed the first half of the Cure's set, especially.  Cheers for the heads-up, Johnz!  Pleased to hear you're taking in quite a few gigs while you're away and such great ones too!  :)
